Historians of the Pedagogical Institute held a meeting with the head of KATEAD of the Kazakh-Turkish Fund of Education, Science and Research in Turkiye, the chief editor of the journal «Kazak Eli», well-known entrepreneur Gairetullah Yertolkin. The meeting was attended by the management of the university, professors and teachers and students. During the meeting Y. Gairetullah informed about his moral life and activities, as well as about a number of projects implemented for Turkish Kazakh youth in the field of language, education, science, culture, etc. In particular, he noted that the magazine «Kazak Eli», published directly under his editorial in two languages, became the most important printing tool for the Turkic world. Vice-president of the University A.Myrzagalieva expressed confidence that the meeting with a successful personality will give impetus to students-historians, accepting a visit to the University of the Y. Gayretullah. We note that in the future cooperation will be established with the public fund, which is headed by a representative of the diaspora, and new joint projects are being implemented. On October 13, a demonstration debate took place within the framework of the “Diplomacy Club”, under the department of the Higher School of Social Sciences, on the topic: “A world without nuclear weapons.”

The main goal of the event: the organization of communicative activities, as well as the inclusion of students in active student activities.

The debate took place in a parliamentary format, between two groups of 3rd year students majoring in International Relations. Many interesting facts and arguments have been expressed, both FOR and AGAINST nuclear weapons. Listeners participated in the discussion with interest, asked questions, added their arguments and ideas on the topic.

On October 12 of this year, students of the Higher School of Law of Astana International University met with Professor of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class Aitpayeva Saule Mukhanbedianovna.

Dean of the Higher School of Law Khairmukhanmedov Nurbek Isabayevich made a welcoming speech, Deputy Dean Seilkhanov Zh.D., curators of the groups Zhambaev E.S., Zhurunova M.K. took part in the event.

A guest lecture was held on the topic "Where to start: Homeland, security, law and order and how to preserve and multiply them", during the lecture issues related to fundamental and valuable knowledge about law and order were highlighted. The lecturer revealed some special terms used in jurisprudence, emphasized the need for the formation and preservation of legal culture in society. The role of spiritual and moral education in the formation of patriotic and healthy youth, as well as in ensuring security and law and order in the country is noted.

The students were given real examples from the rich professional experience of the lecturer, they received detailed answers to their questions.

On September 30, 2023, students from Astana International University, specializing in "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages," including Ayim Ussenova, Didar Moldazhanov, Ariana Bazylbekova, Adam Ishimgaliyev, Amangeldykyzy Aibanu, Madina Bektursynova, Ayagan Ayazhan, Zharqyn Sunqar, along with Dina Malgazhdarova, a faculty member, showcased exceptional skills and innovative ideas at the Multilingual Education Symposium, held at Graduate School of Education, Nazarbayev University. Aigerim Kazhigaliyeva, a faculty member, actively participated in the symposium as the moderator for the session "Language, Identity, Inclusion, and Ideologies."

This event, dedicated to multilingual education, brought together students, educators, and researchers to discuss contemporary topics and best practices in the field of education. Students from Astana International University played a pivotal role in the symposium by presenting their research projects and innovative ideas.

Professors and scholars at the symposium acknowledged the students for their valuable contributions to the field of multilingual education, recognizing their research and projects as significant steps toward advancing modern educational practices.

The Multilingual Education Symposium at Nazarbayev University emphasized the importance of active student participation in research and their ability to make substantial contributions to the advancement of education and research.

On October 11, 2023, a well-known scientist of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Higher School of Law of Astana International University Borchashvili Isidor Shamilovich presented the author's "Commentary to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" in 3 volumes to 2nd-year students studying in the specialty "Law".

First Vice-President of Astana International University Myrzagalieva Anar Bazarovna thanked Professor Borchashvili I.S. for the presented comment, and also expressed hope that this fundamental work will help students to fully master the academic discipline "Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and become highly qualified specialists in the future.

On October 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., a guest lecture was held at the AIU base by the leading engineer of the special design and technological Bureau of Space Technology of Galam LLP, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Kazbek Suleimenovich Baktybekov on the topic: “How a physicist became a spacecraft design engineer " During the lecture, the speaker announced the main directions of synergetics, entropy, Belousov-Zhabotinsky reactions, the effects of synergetics in economics, interdisciplinary sciences, etc. The ongoing research and development in the field of space physics, and also discussed prospects for cooperation.

3rd year students of the Physics, K. Tugelbaeva and A. Berikbay, presented research on the movement of an electron (calculations and models) and the determination of the Rydberg constant experimentally. 4th year student Zhakan A. presented two scientific reports on the velocity distribution of molecules, as well as models on stereotactic radiosurgery. Students of all courses in the “Physics” and “Mathematics” and others took part in the event.

In Astana, as part of the School for Central Asia 2023, an expert session was held on the Sputnik Kazakhstan platform on the water issue and ensuring security.

At this session, experts discuss the problem of transforming the region in connection with its active participation in global international initiatives such as the Belt and Road, SCO and EAEU.

This session was attended by subject matter experts from the Central Asian region and students from our higher school of social sciences and humanities.

From October 5 to 6, 2023, the annual scientific symposium “Nobel Fest” was held at the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.

The event was attended by Nobel laureates and outstanding scientists of the world.

Students majoring in International Relations made a huge contribution to organizing the event.

The festival included lectures and discussions with the participation of Nobel laureates, sessions on various scientific topics and presentations of cutting-edge scientific research.

Participation in the organization of such a large-scale event gave our students valuable experience, as well as professional skills in the field of scientific discoveries and innovations of the modern world.

On September 30, 2023, the first Demo day of the incubation program was held within the walls of the AIU business incubator. 21 teams presented their projects, among them were the projects «Production of innovative eco-fabric from hemp InnoHemp», «Amazonica - production of nutritional supplements for health and well-being», «MURA.KZ Production of decoration, accessories, souvenirs based on the designs of archaeological finds of Kazakhstan», «Adal Food - production of gluten-free products» and others.

The event began with an exhibition of prototypes of participants' products and Welcome coffee. A welcoming speech was made by the President of the Astana International University Irsaliev S.A., chief expert of the Center for Prospective Development of the National Agency for Innovation Development «QazInnovations» Turysova Zh.A., Chairman of the Board of the Association of Entrepreneurs «ERTIS», member of the regional council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Astana Kuniyarov A.E.

Our project was supported by the director of «MedHouseKazakhstan» LLP S.K. Isabaev, deputy director of the «Center for Sustainable Development of the Capital» LLP - Pustovoitenko V.V.

Next, pitching and presentation of projects was carried out in 3 minutes. Based on the results of the teams’ performances, the participants received feedback from the Demo Day guests and trackers. The event ended with the issuance of certificates that give the right to participate in grant funding from the National Agency for Innovation Development «QazInnovations». The event ended with a coffee break, communication and photo session. We wish all our graduates success in implementing their projects!

Astana International University (AIU) took part in the International Partnership Week, organized by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) from September 24 to 29, 2023. The AIU delegation included - Vice - President of the AIU - Abdrakhmanov K.A. , Director of the Pedagogical Institute of AIU - Akhmadieva Z.K., Dean of the Higher School of Economics of AIU - Smagulova Z.K. and Director of the Department of International Cooperation of AIU – Zhmaka S.S.

This is an annual event organized by HSE and presents a platform where representatives of the world's leading universities gather and can discuss issues of development of the higher education system, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation and forming new partnerships.

This year, representatives of academic circles from the African continent, CIS countries, the Middle East, Latin America, India and China took part in this event.

During the plenary sessions, issues of the growing role of integration associations, for example the Greater Eurasian Partnership, which could in the future unite the EAEU, SCO, BRICS, ASEAN and other countries participating in the event, were actively discussed.

In addition, topics were raised about the role of universities in the digital era, a common intellectual space, integrated communications, identifying talent among youth and many others.

Representatives of AIU - Smagulova Z. and Zhmaka S. presented their vision at the plenary sessions dedicated to the issues of SDGs and internationalization.

The solemn moment of the these days was the signing of an agreement between AIU and HSE, which includes student exchanges, teaching staff and prospects for future scientific and educational research and double-degree programs.
