💜 On November 25, Astana hosted a city case championship dedicated to the launch of the global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence". Our university was represented by students of the Higher School of Natural Sciences Zhumakhan Aru, Kairat Amir, Ernazarov Nurbol, Munbaeva Sabina, Espembet Bekzat, Baimenova Inkar under the guidance of senior lecturer Karabalaeva Ayman and Ainur Seitkan.

📚 At the championship, students presented creative solutions to topics developed by the UN and discussed ways to solve the problem of gender-based violence. Participants demonstrated critical thinking and research skills, offering practical approaches and innovative ideas to solve this important social problem.

On November 22, 2024, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Committee of Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. Leading scientists, representatives of the industrial sector and government officials took part in the celebration. Among the invited guests were professors of the Higher School of Economics Kazyken M. Z. and Lesbayeva G. T.

The Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Sharlapaev congratulated the participants of the celebration on the anniversary date and awarded veterans and employees of the Committee of Industry with medals.

In his congratulatory speech, Professor Kazyken Meiram Zekeshevich, the first Chairman of the Industry Committee, emphasized the importance of the dynamic development of the domestic industry and the key role of training highly qualified personnel for the industrial sector of Kazakhstan. He also expressed confidence in the fruitful cooperation of the Industry Committee with the Higher School of Economics in the direction of "Industrial Economics".

From November 11 to 15, 2024, the Higher School of Economics hosted a week dedicated to financial literacy and the current trends in the world of finance. The event brought together students from all economic educational programs for a series of engaging activities designed to enhance their understanding of the financial services industry.

The week kicked off with a roundtable discussion where students had the opportunity to interact with industry experts and delve into pressing issues within the field of finance. Topics ranged from global economic trends to the future of financial technologies, offering students a comprehensive overview of the financial landscape.

Throughout the week, guest lectures were held by prominent financial professionals, giving students insight into real-world financial practices and the latest developments in the industry. These lectures also provided valuable networking opportunities for students, as they had the chance to engage with seasoned experts and learn from their experiences.

In addition to the educational sessions, a series of interactive events were organized to foster student participation and motivation. The popular "Your Game" quiz challenged students' knowledge of financial concepts in a fun and competitive setting, while a competition for the best wall newspaper encouraged creativity and collaboration among students as they explored various financial topics.

The Finance Week was not only a chance for students to deepen their understanding of finance but also an opportunity to celebrate their achievements. At the end of the week, the winners of the quiz and the wall newspaper competition were announced and awarded, recognizing their hard work and enthusiasm.

On November 20, 2024, a guest lecture titled "English Teacher – Teacher of the Future" was held at School-Lyceum No. 11, organized by the faculty of the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University: Zhamal Kultanova, Ainur Kanapyanova, and second-year master's students Nurgul Abilkerim and Zhuldyz Zhumagalieva. The lecture aimed to provide career guidance to high school graduates.

The event was attended by graduates from Schools No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 11, 26, 31, 35, 40, 56, 58, 60, 61, 65, 67, and 80 in the city of Astana. The goal of the lecture was to enhance the students' enthusiasm and readiness to choose a profession by expanding their knowledge of career options.

The lecturers shared insights on the importance of teaching English in the modern world, innovative teaching methods, and the role of teachers in developing communication skills. They also discussed the factors influencing career choice and the techniques and approaches necessary for making an informed decision about future professions.

In addition, the participants learned about the admission rules for Astana International University and received detailed information about other programs offered by the Pedagogical Institute. High school graduates had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers on various topics.

On November 19, 2024, as part of the cooperation agreement between Astana International University and RGP "Kindergarten "Қарлығаш" MCE of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, a seminar-workshop was held on the topic "Organization and Development of Pedagogical Research in Early Childhood Education".

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Zhanar Erkinovna Zhumabaeva, Professor at the Pedagogical Institute of AIU and scientific supervisor of one of the projects implemented at the experimental educational sites of "Қарлығаш" kindergarten.

From 2024 to 2027, two "Қарлығаш" kindergartens will be implementing the following experimental projects:

• "Education and Teaching Based on National Values" – under the scientific guidance of Dr. Zhanar Erkinovna Zhumabaeva;
• "EcoTeam: From Ecological Relationships to an Ecological Environment" – under the guidance of Dr. Zhanna K. Akhmadieva and PhD T.B. Kenzhebaeva.

During the seminar, participants were introduced to the key stages of organizing pedagogical research in early childhood education institutions and the methodological approaches necessary for the successful implementation of experimental projects.

The cooperation between AIU and "Қарлығаш" kindergartens is focused on introducing innovative methods into the educational process and developing a scientific foundation for training qualified professionals in early childhood education.

On November 22, 2024, representatives of the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University took part in the "Career Fair" held at School-Lyceum No. 62 in Astana.

The event aimed to inform high school students about professional education opportunities and support them in choosing their future careers. On November 27, 2024, a round table on the topic "Humanitarian Aspects of Information Security and 'Soft Power' as Factors of Sustainable Development and National Consolidation of Kazakhstan" will take place at Hilton Garden Inn, organized by Astana International University. The event will serve as an important platform to discuss key issues related to security and societal development in the context of global challenges.

The round table is held as part of a project aimed at studying the humanitarian aspects of Kazakhstan’s information security and the potential of "soft power" as a resource for strengthening national consolidation. AIU, a young and dynamically developing university in Kazakhstan, actively implements international standards in education and research. The university is focused on developing interdisciplinary programs and fostering an environment where science, technology, and innovation work in synergy.

On November 21st, the doors of BLCU Kazakhstan, the branch of the Beijing Language and Culture University, were warmly opened to the deputies of the Astana City Maslikhat and the staff of the Department of Youth Policy. On November 16, a significant meeting took place between the President of Astana International University and the Rector of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Georgi Vlchev. Also present at the meeting were the head of the Al-Farabi Center of Sofia University, Violetta Dobichina, and the Governor of Burgas Region, Maria Neykova. The result of the discussions was an agreement to jointly develop a dual-degree Master's program in "Eco-Management," which will combine the best educational practices of both countries.

Sofia University is the oldest and most prestigious university in Bulgaria, ranked between 401-600 in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings. It holds the top spot in Bulgaria in the World University Rankings, scoring 70.7 out of 100 points globally.
