On April 4, 2023, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor A.B. Seisekenova at the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University held a seminar-training on the topic "Formation of national value culture of future specialists" with students of "History - 22 A" group. The content of the seminar  was prepared based on A.B. Seisekenova's monograph "Formation of value culture of future specialists.

During the event, spiritual conversations and analyzes were conducted with students about the importance of family values.

On April 11, 2023, the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering held a subject Olympiad in programming for 1-2-3 year students.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to reveal creative abilities, select and support the most talented and gifted students, promote the formation of the intellectual potential of students, attract students to solving scientific problems of our time, develop interest in scientific activity.

On March 28, 2023, 2nd year students of the specialty "Marketing" Kosherova Malika, Aitmukhamet Adeliya and Nesken Malika won the 3rd prize in the IX International Student Olympiad

As part of the cooperation agreement, on March 29, 2023, a guest lecture was held at Astana International University with Advisor to the Rector of the Higher School of Folk Art in Omsk, Professor Kaiyrtay Zhakupovich Amirgazin.

Professor Amirgazin K.Zh. presented the activities of the Higher School of Folk Art in Omsk, spoke about the history of the creation of the higher school, creative works of students in each branch of applied art were demonstrated, such as jewelry art, bone carving, painting on various surfaces, lace weaving, leather processing, miniature art and monumental art .

During the lecture, Professor Amirgazin K.Zh. shared his recommendations on how to properly create a team, how to plan your activities correctly, and spoke about the importance of creating your own brand based on traditional folk arts and crafts in order to enter the world market.

Professor Amirgazin K.Zh. It was noted that the Astana International University has workshops on jewelry art, which provides a great platform for the development of folk art and a platform for training specialists in jewelry art.

Lecture given by Amirgazin K.Zh. aroused interest among the audience, during which a large number of questions were asked. The lecturer answered all questions competently and with interest.

At the end of the guest lecture, the students expressed gratitude to Amirgazin Kayrtai Zhakupovich for the interesting material and practical experience.

For the management of Astana International University, systematic efforts to expand the volume and geography of international scientific communication are a priority. The circle of communication partners included Nizhnevartovsk State University.

This large educational institution in Western Siberia consists of six faculties, five of which are similar to the five Higher Schools of our university. For both universities, this means a significant amount of joint work in the field of organizing scientific and practical conferences and seminars with discussion of the results of research activities, sharing experience in introducing new educational technologies at the university in the context of modernization of education, conducting internships for teachers, and working in joint scientific projects.

The cooperation agreement allows students of the Faculty of Art and Design of NSU and the similar Higher School of MUA to double their creative potential through the exchange of creative ideas, joint exhibition projects, and startups. Examples of student cooperation can be projects that have cultural and social significance. Further informational and creative interaction will be a good professional motivation for students and teachers of both universities.

Communication in the higher education system is an attributive characteristic of the dynamics of a modern university. The counter-movement towards cooperation between Astana International University and Nizhnevartovsk State University will serve as a new impetus for teachers and students of both universities to improve the educational process and grow their research potential.

On March 31, 2023, the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering of Astana International University organized and held an event in honor of Nauryz "Nauryz - berekem, Nauryz - meiramy!!!" by the groups CTaS–22, DS-22.  

The traditions and customs of our people were popularized, presentations, scenes of Kyz-uzatu, betashar, arkan tartu were presented, and national dishes and Nauryz kozhe were offered to the guests.

In addition, the audience answered questions on the topic of Nauryz and received prizes.

On March 28, 2023, Pedagogical Institute held a guest lecture with a practicing psychologist Altynai Zhaparova on the topic: "The role of the family in the formation and development of a harmonious personality." The format of the lecture was in the form of  interactive communication, during which the issues of the relevance of the family were discussed, and the concepts of harmonious and disharmonious relationships. Students shared information about their family traditions. The participants touched on the topic of the separation of children and discussed the role of a woman as the guardian of the hearth. The participants concluded that the creation and preservation of a family is a matter, a work that must also be taken seriously and consciously.

On March 31, 2023, students of the "Zheti Zhargy" team of the Higher School of Law of Astana International University under the guidance of senior lecturer Seilkhanov Zhanat Duisenbaevich participated in the republican competition "Seyitov izbasary", organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies together with the Kazakhstan Association of Prosecutors. The event is timed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the state and public figure Prosecutor of the Kazakh SSR Utegen Seitov.

The competition was attended by teams of students and students of higher educational institutions of the country — L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, Astana International University, E.A. Buketov Karaganda University, Turan-Astana University, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University and the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the results of the competition, the third place was taken by the Zheti Zhargy team of Astana International University. University teams were also awarded consolation prizes and diplomas. Letters of thanks were also presented to the scientific supervisors of the national teams of participating universities.

On March 14, 2023, a guest lecture was held at Astana International University with the participation of the head of the Digital agency Alibayev Arystan on the topic " How a freelancer can open his own agency".

As part of the lecture, Arystan Alimbayev shared with students about:

• creating a personal brand;

• market analysis and "nicha" search;

• opportunities to sell ideas and products;

• ways of presenting the project to investors;

• ways of presenting an idea, brand and other forms of intellectual property.

The speaker answered the students' questions on the topic of business development in the field of information technology and shared various interesting details. During the lecture, information was announced that will help expand the knowledge base of students about the possibilities of the professional sphere of IT, as well as about the future profession.

In the period from December 13, 2022 to January 23, 2023, the AMU accepted works for participation in the university competition of environmental drawings and posts on social networks, as well as videos dedicated to the problem of municipal solid waste (MSW).

A drawing by Taisyuganova Malika, a master's student at the Higher School of Art and Design, became the best in the competition. The initiators of the competition were the team of the Higher School of Natural Sciences. However, the goal of the competition – environmental education – is close to students and undergraduates studying in the specialty “Design”. The search for a visual language of landscape architecture that can convey to society a philosophically meaningful message of harmony with nature is one of the main scientific tasks of environmental design.

Malika's painting, submitted to the competition, aesthetically subtly and dramatically addresses the situation of today. Stylistically, the plot refers to the “Flowers-Birds” genre, which developed back in the Middle Ages in the painting of the countries of the Far Eastern region. But there is no harmony in the picture, the death of the bird with a plastic loop around its neck and its offspring is a foregone conclusion...
