On October 19, 2021, 3rd year students of the Higher School of Art and Design visited the entertainment center “Duman” in the subject “Layout” in order to familiarize students with the unique architectural monuments and attractions of the city of Nur-Sultan for a visual acquaintance with the exhibition and volumetric environment of the structure, elements of spatial and artistic structure.

October 15th 3rd year students (specialty Graphic Design) at the TSE art destination gallery in the capital got acquainted with the exhibition of Italian photographers Roberto Conte and Stefano Perego “Soviet modernism in Almaty”. The authors are very well known for their interest in twentieth-century architecture and a series of beautiful photographs taken during trips to many countries in Europe and Central Asia and published by reputable European publishing houses.

Gallery director Sagiev Bauyrzhan gave us an interesting tour of the exhibition. He spoke about the works included in the exhibition and made during the visit of Italian artists to Almaty. For our students, the works of R. Conte and S. Perego are interesting for their sensitive aesthetics of architectural form, light and shadow, highly artistically conveyed in the photographic frame.

The gallery has a wonderful library with very valuable and rare art books. We were invited to use them and be regular visitors to exhibition projects, the conceptuality of which the TSE art destination gallery is famous for.

From March 25 to 29, 5th year students of the Higher School of Art and Design successfully defended their thesis before the State Commission. The commission included famous designers, doctors and candidates of science, and employers. By the way, B.I. Izhanov, E.S. Asylkhanov, T.A. Kiseleva, D.B. Kabylov, Zh. B. Baisengirov participated. The works of 43 students were well appreciated by the commission. We wish our students a happy trip!

On April 27, 2021, the Higher School of Art and Design held a remote online photo competition “In the Lens: Modern Kazakhstan”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which students of various specialties, colleges and schools took part. More than 70 photographs were received.

Goal: to attract attention to issues of the natural, historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, to cultivate patriotism and respect for the environment through the art of photography.

Based on the results of the work of the competition jury, the winners of the competition were awarded Diplomas of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees and cash prizes:

1st place: Kudaibergenov Batyrbek - 2nd year student of the Higher School of Education, AIU

2nd place: Muratov Adler - 3rd year student at the Higher School of Arts and Design, AIU

3rd place: Bukebaev Sanzhar - 10th grade student of school-lyceum No. 85 in Nur-Sultan

An international scientific and practical conference on the topic “Science and Education” (section for design “Modern Design: Trends and Innovations”) was held at Astana International University. With the participation of the teaching staff of the Higher School of Arts and Design, undergraduates, students of 2,3,4,5 years, as well as students and professors of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin, the Kazakh University of Technology and Business, and teachers of the KSU secondary school took part in the conference "School - gymnasium No. 86." The conference was held online via the zoom platform. The participants made various interesting presentations regarding innovation in design.

On April 21, 2021, the Republican Subject Olympiad was held at the Kazakh Main Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Almaty. 4th year design students - Kurmasheva Dinara gr. Diz 402-G and Danilova Diana gr.Diz 402A became winners and took 3rd places (out of 3 places of honor) in the specialty “Design”.

On April 23, 2021, an international scientific and practical conference on "Science and Education" was held at Astana International University. The issues of improving the legal system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international experience in this direction, problems and prospects of the development of natural sciences and information technologies, modern problems of education, the role of economic institutions in the development of entrepreneurship, global and regional trends in the modern world are considered. A competition was organized among undergraduates and students, where, under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Higher School of Law Seilkhanov Zhanat Duisenbaevich, Shamshidinova Gulnaz took the first place, Kazhymukan Altynai took the second place.

On April 4, 2021, the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA), Almaty, held the next annual plenary meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association (EMU) in the field of personnel training “Architecture and Construction” of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was held online via Zoom video conferencing.

Today, the UMO includes 41 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, training in the specialty/educational programs “Design” is carried out in 30 universities.

The opening plenary session was attended by 83 participants, and the “Architecture and Design” section was attended by 26 UMO members from universities.

From Astana International University, the representative of the UMO in the specialty “Design” at this meeting was appointed - candidate of architecture, associate professor Tatyana Aleksandrovna Kiseleva.

The agenda of the meeting included the following issues:

- Problems and prospects for the development of online classes in creative and special disciplines.

- Changes in regulatory legal acts (DOT, ICT rules, establishment of the maximum teaching load for teaching staff and the minimum wage).

- Dual training in the areas of training “Architecture and Construction” and the section “Design”.

Members of the UMO at the section also discussed strategic issues in the development of the Design specialty - these are:

- the possibility of increasing the number of educational grants at bachelor’s and master’s levels in the specialty “Design”;

- opening of a dissertation council for the defense of doctoral dissertations in the field of preparation “Design” on the basis of the IOC;

- the concept of conducting a qualifying online exam in the field of training “Architecture and Construction” and the section “Design”;

- development of a unified format for the entrance exam in these areas.

The work of the section took place in a creative, positive atmosphere, with the exchange of new professional skills and work experience in an on-line format.

The book-album by Kazakhbai Azhibekuly, a professor at the Higher School of Art and Design of Astana International University, was published by the Language Policy Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the program “Increasing competition in the field of culture and art, preserving, studying and promoting Kazakh cultural heritage and increasing the efficiency of archival work” , subprogram “Acquisition, publication and distribution of socially significant types of literature.”

Kazakhbay Azhibekuly is a sincere and real artist, multifacetedly presenting to us his worldview, aesthetic and artistic views on the world around us, history and spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people. Kazakhbai Azhibekuly found his own style and his own manner of painter, his own special path as an artist, researcher and philosopher. Today he is known primarily as a muralist, an adherent of a realistic reflection of history and modernity, with a distinctive ethno-romantic style.

The public fund "Otbasy Chrestomatiya" in a short period of time has managed to collect valuable examples of the rich folklore of our people, and has produced educational materials for the scientific community of the country and the general public. At the same time, academic works that are of great interest at the world level are translated into Kazakh by the fund, and their publication is receiving great support from the Kazakh public. In particular, in 2013 "From Aldi to Epic", 2014. "Tradition speaks", 2015. "Siyar Sharip", 2016. "Logotherapy", 2017. "The Yassawi Phenomenon", 2018. "Falling in love with life", "The essence of love", "Civilized person", 2019. There are many works such as "Thousand Questions", "Adil Tsar".

Also, the public fund, in cooperation with state organizations of various levels, has been conducting educational and organizational events in many regions of the country. He is working with the public fund "Mother's House" in Almaty. Currently, lectures on the book "The Meaning of Love" are being held in order to prevent domestic violence. In this book, the phenomena of attachment, passion, freedom, responsibility, and love are analyzed using the existential method. The authors comprehensively analyze the root of the family problem in modern Kazakh society.

One of the burning issues in Kazakhstan is the "Mother and Child" issue. In Europe, the philosophy of existentialism and the science of logotherapy are widely used to reduce divorce rates. Since the science of logotherapy was not introduced in the Soviet period for certain political reasons, this practice is not used in the post-Soviet countries. The public fund will fill that gap.

On November 22-23, 2018, with the support of the Department of Youth Policy of Atyrau Region, and the organization of the "Young Society" youth initiative development fund, a training-practical seminar on suicide prevention was held among young people entitled "FALL IN LOVE WITH LIFE". The seminar was conducted by an expert of the "Otbasy Chrestomatiya" public fund, psychologist, "Ontology. The author of the project "The role of existential analysis in child education" was conducted by Myrzabaev Seyilbek Sattaruly. 68 specialists participated in the seminar. The participants included regional psychologists and pedagogical specialists. On October 7-8, 2019, Myrzabayev Seylbek Sattaruly conducted a seminar-training in the short-term course "Spiritual Revival: Openness of Mind" organized by the Social Development Affairs Department of Nur-Sultan and the "Spiritual Revival" project office.

On April 16, 2021, a memorandum was signed to establish bilateral relations with the Higher School of Art and Design and the Children's Art School of Nur-Sultan - UNESCO Club. The management and teaching staff of the Higher School of Art and Design got acquainted with the school and watched the works of the students. Both sides made plans to work together in the future.
