Teachers of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering were trained on Huawei HCIA Datacom

Teachers of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering Kaldarova M.Zh. and Kusepova L.T. were trained on Huawei HCIA Datacom in the period from January 30 to February 10, 2023 in Almaty. During the training, practical tasks were performed by students independently on the emulator and they were provided with theoretical material and practical tasks in both Russian and English. The topics covered during the training are as follows: Data exchange and basics of networking, Building an interconnected IP network, Building an Ethernet Switching network, Network Security and Basics of Network Access, Network Services and Applications, Basics of WLAN, Basics of WAN, Basics of IPv6, SDN and Basics of Automation, Typical architecture of a campus network.

The advanced training program from Huawei CA Datacom is focused on the development and improvement of technical and professional skills in the field of network technologies and network security.

During official visit to Turkey, the AIU delegation met with the leadership of two leading Turkish universities - Hacettepe Üniversitesi (Ankara) and Karabuk University and also took part in the international conference "FUTURES LITERACY AND STRATEGIC FORESIGHT 2023".

Based on the results of meetings with colleagues from Hacettepe University, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed, which includes an academic exchange of students, faculty and joint research projects.

Another significant event was the signing of the Protocol on cooperation within the framework of the Mevlana* program, and the parties also discussed the main areas of cooperation in the field of higher education and science.

As mentioned earlier, another significant event was the participation of our delegation in "FUTURES LITERACY AND STRATEGIC FORESIGHT 2023" conference, organized by UNESCO and Karabuk University.

   The plenary session was attended by Yerkebulan Sapiev - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkey, Fuat Gurel - Mayor of Karabuk, Ravza Kavakchi Kan - Deputy of the Turkish Parliament, Harry Jacobs - President of WAAS, Professor Riel Miller, as well as representatives of foreign universities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore , Romania, Uzbekistan, etc.

The conference program included discussions and presentations on the most pressing issues of the literacy of the future. Interactive workshops were organized for the participants.

A bilateral meeting was held with the rector of the University of Karabuk - Refik Polat, which resulted as an internship for AIU students on the basis of a Turkish university in February-March of this year.

February 7 this year 4th year students studying in the educational program 6B02101 – Design, held a seminar on the academic discipline “Fundamentals of Scientific Research” in the AMU library. This was not the first seminar at the library. At the beginning of the academic year, 5th year design students began work on their diploma projects by also studying modern search capabilities.

The head of the library, Gulnara Rakhimtaevna Begimova, introduced students to open information resources that provide textbooks, monographs, dissertations and articles from scientific journals in digital format. Platforms of the National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan and the World Digital Library, information portals Bibliorossika, Open Educational Resources, Science Open, Unpaywall, Jstor.org, Eastern Michigan University Browse Research and Scholarship, Cyberleninka, academic resources of the journals “Science”, “Nature”, Abhinav Commerce And Management Arts And Education Science And Technology and many others - this is open access for our students to millions of scientific publications from thousands of scientific journals, books, research projects.

Students need knowledge and ability to use various databases for successful research and project activities. Gulnara Rakhimtaevna’s information about where and what scientific materials can be studied remotely was extremely useful to our students.
