The Higher School of Art and Design, in accordance with the mission of Astana International University, is actively involved in expanding the geography of its partnerships with related creative universities outside of Kazakhstan.

International creative symposium “ASTANA. ART. PLEINER" (June 7-9) to commemorate the fifth anniversary of our university became an excellent opportunity to expand the creative community. The possibilities of educational, scientific and creative communication with colleagues and students from leading creative universities in Kyrgyzstan, the Siberian region of Russia, and Guangdong University (China) were actively discussed during all events of the creative symposium.

A logical continuation of the final events of the symposium “ASTANA. ART. PLEINER" was the official signing of documents on cooperation in joint educational programs, research projects, creative projects and trainings of the Astana International University and the Kyrgyz State University named after. I. Arabaeva, Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, (Russia), Guangdong University of Technology (China), Naryn State University named after. S. Naamatova (Kyrgyzstan).

In order to support a high level of professional training of personnel and the organization of practice-oriented education the Higher School of Economics regularly organizes guest lectures and master classes in the disciplines under study. Guest lectures are a unique platform where speakers can share their valuable knowledge and unique experience, talk about their expert industry, share new technologies and interesting business cases.

In the 2nd semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, meetings were held at the Higher School of Economics with leading experts from various organizations and companies. So, for example, the speakers were Tokmagambetov Kuanysh –Certified professional internal auditor DipCPIA, Amatov Meder - international business coach, Myngyshpan Erbolat - General Director of the mortgage company "Өз шаңырағым", Musin Rustam - Head of the Department of Strategic Development and Science of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology, member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve, Baimamirov Yergali - Founder of First Film Studio, member of the board of the Association of Social Innovators and others.

At such meetings, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the school get the opportunity to learn the necessary practical information, secrets of professional skills, be inspired by success stories, choose the best models to develop your own career.

During the academic year, active work was with students of the scientific club of the Higher School of Economics. For students was held scientific seminar "Publication of an article: subtleties of scientific work". Members of the student scientific club Zhalgasova G., Fazilov B., Kyrykbay N. took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Economic Security: State, Region, Enterprise", Altai State Technical University. In May 2023, members of the student scientific took part in the International Scientific Conference "XXIII Satpayev Readings". Zhalgasova G. won the second prize.

At the International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic: “AIU - 2023: Analyze. Innovate. Use” member of the student’s scientific club Yerzhan Asylym was awarded a diploma of the 2nd degree. Student Zhalgasova Gulnaz became the owner of the "Best student -2023" in the International competition for students of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Members of the student’s scientific club took an active part in the International competition of scientific works of students "Genesis of entrepreneurship: from origin to the present", "Problems of development of the fuel and energy complex" at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Russia. The students won three prizes. At the final meeting, together with the students, the prospects for further work within the framework of the student’s scientific club were considered.

On May 30, 2023, a teacher of a higher school of education, PhD doctoral student, master of psychology Zhumatova Nurshat Zhumatkyzy took part in the Republican forum "Development of psychological service in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which was held in Almaty at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.

More than 80 leading specialists and experts in the field of psychological services and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the forum.

As part of the event, PhD, Associate Professor Kusainova Manshuk Askarkyzy conducted a training session on the topic: “Prospects for the development and integration of psychological services”, which discussed approaches and methods for studying student youth. Upon completion of the training, Vice-Rector for Social Development of KazNPU named after Abaya Nurlanov Shyngys Nurlanovich presented certificates to the participants of the training.

The event provided a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas about the development and strengthening of psychological services in the universities of our country.

Expressing gratitude to the organizers of the Republican Forum, the employees of KazNPU named after Abay, I would like to emphasize the significance, effectiveness and fruitfulness of such events in the development of psychological service in higher educational institutions.

In total, 55 scientific articles were submitted to the section of the Higher School of Economics. Welcoming words and congratulations were sent to the university by our partners: Zhao Zhongxiu, Rector of UIBE University, 赵忠秀校长, Stefan Dyrka, Doctor of economic sciences, Professor, Katowice Business University W. Korfantego, Poland, Shakizada Niyazbekova, Associate Professor, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Albena Nakova, Prof., Deputy Director, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria, Ivan Petrov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, First Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The section was attended by 19 speakers. Based on the results of the work, they were awarded a diploma of the 1st degree Eleuova Aiken, 2 degree diplomas Zverkova Anastasia and Yerzhan Asylym, diplomas of the 3rd degree Sagadatova Karakat, Nurtazina Laura, Alimkulova Zarina. It was also decided to single out a number of students with nominations:

- "Relevance of the research": Gulamzhanova Sitara, Batyrbek Erzat, Trofimova Anna, Fashutdinov Artyom.

- “Creativity of thinking»: Kurmasheva Dilnaz, Fazilov Begzod.

- "Young explorers": Kabysheva Dilda, Bisenkulov Arsen, Bekmukhanova Fatima.

The territorial departments of the Education Quality Assurance Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan are called upon to perform a very important function of control, monitoring and providing feedback between local and central executive bodies in the implementation of educational policy.

What is the quality of education?

How is this concept decomposed?

How is the national education quality assessment system institutionalized in Kazakhstan?

How do external global factors influence the actualization of the content of modern education?

How should the quality assessment system be transformed taking into account changes in the content of education?

How is the Kazakh education system positioned in international comparative studies?

I gave a lecture on this and many other things at a seminar for directors of territorial quality assurance departments.

I was glad to meet my colleagues.

No one will doubt the folk wisdom: How many languages  you know, so many times you are a human! Knowledge of a foreign language is the key to success in life. Today, knowledge of several languages is becoming a mandatory requirement not only of foreign, but also of Kazakhstani employers! Fluency in a foreign language, along with good professional skills, will allow a specialist to get a decent job and build a successful career. Therefore, it is gratifying that our students strive to master several languages and show their abilities in various competitions and olympiads.

 One of such purposeful, talented students of the AMU is Alina Erlibekkyzy Abdymukasheva, a 1st year student of the FL PS. It is all the more gratifying that she is a future primary school English teacher! In April 2023, Alina took part in the International online English language Olympiad "English skills: check your knowledge" , which took place in Moscow, and having demonstrated excellent knowledge of the English language, took the Honorable second place! We congratulate Alina Abdymukasheva and her English teacher Khassenova Roza Tukenovna on the victory and wish them further success in their work and studies! 

From April 1, 2023, to May 20, 2023, the Republican competition ‘I want to become a teacher: Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future – I am a future teacher’ was held at Astana International University for pupils of grades 9-11.

The competition consisted of two stages:

Essay writing;

Presentation of videos.

 In the first stage of the competition, 72 participants took part. Based on the results of the first round, 19 participants advanced to the second round.

Based on the results of the second round of the competition, the Commission determined the winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place):

 1st place – Kazhyakbar Zhumadilla (10th-grade pupil, Turkestan region, Sauran district, Shaginsk rural district, 30-years of Kazakhstana village, lyceum).

 2nd place - Aripzhan Dinmuhammed (9th-grade pupil, Mukhtar Auezov gymnasium # 86, Astana).

 3rd place - Adina Zhanibekova (10th-grade pupil, gymnasium # 3, Kokshetau).

On May 24, 2023, students of the Higher School of law under the guidance of senior teacher Seilkhanov Zhanat Duysenbayevich held a seminar dedicated to the 5th anniversary of Astana International University "AIU – 2023: Analyze. Innovate. At the International Scientific and practical conference" Use", taking part in the section "actual problems and prospects for the development of legal Science", the 1st place was taken by Erkezhan Serikkalievna, the 2nd place was taken by Karina Serikova, the 3rd place was taken by Amina Nazymbek, Serik Nurym.

On May 24, 2023, teachers, undergraduates and students of the Higher School of Art and Design took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "AIU - 2023: Analyze. Innovate. Use", held at the university. This annual forum has become one of the main events in the extensive program of anniversary events dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Astana International University.

Before the start of the section, our international research partners Makhutov Burkit Nabatbaevich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Economics and Development of Nizhnevartovsk State University (Nizhnevartovsk, Russia) and Amirgazin Kairtai Zhakupovich, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Advisor to the Rector of the Higher School of Folk Arts addressed the participants with a welcoming speech (online) (St. Petersburg, (Russia), as well as Tanbergenov Medeubek Zhumatayuly, M. Auezov atyndagi Ontustik Kazakhstan University, Madeniyet zhane Oner faculty deans, Pedagogy gylymdaryn doctors, professor (KR).

The direction of the HSE section "Design research in the context of modern culture" attracted participants with a wide range of discussion issues related to digital culture and the prospects for the development of design. An active discussion of the participants unfolded during the discussion of the speeches of students Bondarenko Egor "Artificial intelligence in the field of design", Kusainova Nargiz "Artificial intelligence in the life of an artist. Enemy or helper", Tumanov Aidos "The possibilities of the MIDJOURNEY neural network in graphic design", Aida Fedotova "The gaming industry as a space for artists", Associate Professor Galina Nikolaevna Povalyashko in collaboration with Deputy Dean Ella Talgatovna Daumenova "Digital Art: implementation in the cultural space".

Topical issues of architectural design were discussed in the reports of Associate professor Tatyana Alexandrovna Kiseleva "On architectural and design education in the language of oppositions: rational pragmatism - conceptual fantasies", 2nd year undergraduate Malika Taisyuganova "Techniques and methods of visual correction of interiors of public spaces", students of Symbat Adilbai "Eco-friendly recreation area", Aruana Sartai "New architecture of Kazakhstan to prevent the consequences of earthquakes." 

Various aspects of the development of graphic design were considered by students Dilnaz Ospanova "Astana kalasyndagi fitnessblitz fitness clubyn firmalyk style damytudagi keybir graphalyk designyn ozekti maseleri", Yerkebulan Tulkibai "Komiksin kazirgi tanda otandyk kenistiktegi orny", Alexandra Fitsenko "Design features of banknotes world currencies" and many others.

Following the results of the sectional meeting, a decision was made on the winners:

1st place - Taisyuganova M.

2nd place - Tulkibai E., Fedotova A.

3rd place - Fitsenko A., Kusainova N.

On May 15, 2023, Astana International University signed a cooperation agreement with the Republican Veterinary Laboratory of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The main activity of the enterprise is aimed at protecting the population from diseases common to animals and humans by conducting regular diagnostic studies and ensuring the epizootic well-being of the country for especially dangerous animal diseases. The company also conducts laboratory research and veterinary and sanitary examination, verification of measuring instruments and certification of test equipment, bacteriological studies of disinfection quality, disposal and destruction of biological waste. 

The subject of the agreement of the Parties is the development of cooperation in the field of education and science, namely, the organization of advanced training of employees and the organization of practices and internships of University students in the Laboratory. 

During the first meeting within the framework of cooperation, Deputy Director General of the Laboratory for Production Activities Aitaly Ermek Bolatuly and Dean of the Higher School of Natural Sciences Seitkan Ainur Seitkankyzy agreed to conduct an industrial practice of students of OP 6B05101 Biology on the basis of the laboratory.

We hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation!!

On May 14, 2023, the Higher School of Natural Sciences, together with partners, organized a screening of environmental films as part of the Urbanitarium Ast program. The touring environmental documentary film festival Caravan CEFF was brought to Kazakhstan by Dana Coelho from the US state of Colorado. 5 five short films were shown about human love and greed for nature from around the world: the shallowing of one of the greatest rivers in the United States, the extinction of forests on the planet, a glimmer of hope in the Kazakh steppes, African nomads and the voice of indigenous peoples around the planet in their fight against change climate. Students and guests were satisfied with the show. With the power of cinema, we are doing our part to support the environmental movement!!
