A second-year student of Astana International University majoring in "Chemistry Teacher Training", Shamshit Aysha, successfully completed her studies at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland) as part of an academic mobility program, gaining valuable international experience.

On March 6, Astana International University hosted the "Eki Zhuldiz" contest

From the very first moments, the audience was captivated by the elegant Kazakh dance "Begim-ai," which opened the evening. As the triumphant fanfare played, the hosts, Bijan Madi and Suleimen Zhasulan, appeared on stage to welcome the guests and participants.

"Eki Zhuldiz" is not just a competition; it is a heartfelt tribute to all women, mothers, and grandmothers. The contest featured duets consisting of a student and a professor. Its main goal was to reveal and support talents while fostering cultural interaction between students and faculty members.

In the first round, participants performed songs filled with gratitude and respect for women.

In the second round, the duets presented popular Kazakhstani hits, turning their performances into true mini-shows. Their vocal abilities and stage presence shone through, as all numbers were performed live, without playback, making them even more emotional and heartfelt.

The contest was judged by professionals: Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Vice President of Astana International University; Nazereke Altynbek, journalist and TV presenter of "Saryarqa"; Galiya Medieva, actress and host of the "Oyan" program on "Khabar"; and Adil Amanov, AIU’s International Cooperation Manager.

The judges faced a tough decision, as the participants were highly prepared. In the end, the Pedagogical Institute took first place, the School of Economics secured second place, and the School of Information Technology and Engineering came in third. The winners received cash prizes of 100,000, 75,000, and 50,000 tenge, respectively. The remaining participants were awarded certificates of appreciation, while the audience supported them with enthusiastic applause.

The "Eki Zhuldiz" contest became a true celebration of music, talent, and genuine emotions. It reminded everyone of the vital role of women in society and left the audience with unforgettable impressions.

On March 5, 2025, the Hungarian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Mr. Otto Ivan Rona, visited the university. During the visit, he met with the university administration and students to talk about the Stipendium Hungaricum program, a scholarship initiative for Kazakhstani students that provides an opportunity to study at leading universities in Hungary.

The Stipendium Hungaricum program is a scholarship initiative that provides students from different countries, including Kazakhstan, with a chance to study at leading universities in Hungary. The program's grants cover tuition, living expenses, and also include medical insurance. The program covers bachelor's, master's and PhD programs, which opens up broad prospects for students who want to receive a high-quality education in Europe.

The Ambassador stressed the importance of educational ties between Hungary and Kazakhstan, noting that participation in the Stipendium Hungaricum helps strengthen bilateral relations. Mr. Rona also spoke about Hungary's foreign policy, focusing on the development of cooperation with Kazakhstan in various fields, including education, economy and culture.

The students showed great interest in the program, asking questions about the application process, the conditions of study and life in Hungary. In response, the Ambassador provided detailed explanations, providing useful information for those who wish to participate in the program.

Teachers of the Higher School of Natural Sciences are the winners of the Zhas Galim competition!!

We are pleased to announce that Aiman Beisembaevna Karabalayeva and Sholpan Beisembaevna Abilova have become the winners of the grant funding for the research of young scientists within the framework of the Zhas Galim project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Their work is aimed at solving urgent environmental and educational problems.

Project 1: Creation of interactive eco-platforms and digital educational resources for the development of environmental literacy among students of schools in Kazakhstan, scientific supervisor: A.B. Karabalayeva.

The research is aimed at developing digital tools for the formation of environmental awareness among schoolchildren, which contributes to the introduction of modern educational methods and the development of environmental culture.

Project 2: Dendrochronological studies of coniferous trees of the forest-steppe zone on the territory of the Kokshetau State National Nature Park; scientific supervisor: Abilova Sh.B.

The research focuses on the analysis of climate change and ecosystem sustainability of forests, which plays an important role in monitoring the environment and developing strategies for adapting forest ecosystems to climate change.

  Astana International University is excited to announce the launch of the 5th AIU BUSINESS INNOVATION incubation program, which will take place from March 3 to April 5, 2025, at the School of Economics.

This program is designed for aspiring and active entrepreneurs, as well as students looking to develop their entrepreneurial skills, master business idea generation techniques, and prepare for project defense before experts.

On February 28, the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov hosted the International Student Olympiad in Foreign Languages. This large-scale intellectual competition brought together over 100 talented students from 15 universities across 3 countries.

We are proud to announce that a first-year student of the AIU Pedagogical Institute, group UHTiIZO-24A, Khairullina Aisaule Ashimovna, won an honorable 3rd place! She demonstrated a high level of knowledge and proficiency in foreign languages, representing our university with distinction.

The Olympiad was held online, allowing for a wider geographical reach and giving students from different countries the opportunity to showcase their skills.

📍During the meeting, both parties explored prospects for dual-degree programs, academic exchanges, and collaboration in scientific research. Newton University presented its educational programs in English and Czech, including the "Global Business Management" bachelor's program and the "Academy and Sustainable Management" master's program.
