Astana International University is pleased to announce the launch of the Global AI Olympiad — an international artificial intelligence competition organized by our strategic partner, the Swiss Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (SITE, Geneva).The key feature of the Olympiad is the opportunity to win a full scholarship for a 3-year SITE bachelor’s program, with an official Swiss diploma. Participants will also explore current trends in artificial intelligence and gain practical skills for their future careers.

What is the Global AI Olympiad?  It’s a three-week hands-on AI course with online lectures, live sessions, and assignments. Modules include: AI basics and models, AI for work and communication, creative and visual AI, video and multimedia, AI agents and processes, ethics and trends. Practice includes building AI assistants, brands, multimedia, and project work. Final round: Project defense and interviews for top participants.

AI is transforming every industry – from business and medicine to education and entertainment. Mastering AI skills (prompt engineering, creative tools, ethics, solution integration) gives students a key competitive edge. According to forecasts, the demand for AI specialists will grow 10-fold by 2030.

Outcome: An international SITE certificate for all participants. Winners receive a full scholarship for a bachelor’s degree at SITE.

Who can participate: High school students, recent graduates, first-year undergraduates, and anyone interested in innovation and AI for their future career. Participation is fully online – you only need a laptop and internet.

All participants receive a certificate and hands-on skills. Top performers win full scholarships worth $10,000 in: Business Analytics, Financial Technology, Digital Marketing, Strategic Communication.

Astana International University informs that the negative reviews and appeals that appeared on the Threads, 2GIS and other social media platforms are related to a private situation concerning one of the university's students.

Since August 2024, comments containing insults, slanderous statements and information unrelated to the quality of educational services have been systematically published on the university's 2GIS page.

An internal investigation confirmed that the student had not violated academic discipline, and the situation was of an exclusively private nature. During the audit, it was established that the actions of the authors of the publications are a manifestation of harassment, slander and cyberbullying against the specified student.

The AIU and the student himself have sent official appeals to law enforcement agencies to clarify the circumstances, as well as to protect the student from cyberbullying and spreading false information.

Astana International University adheres to the principles of openness, respect and academic ethics. The University condemns all forms of cyberbullying and the dissemination of false information, including the use of personal data and accounts of third parties, and calls on users of online platforms to comply with standards of responsibility and respect for the privacy of others.

Applications for the Akimat's grant will be accepted until August 17 inclusive.

Admission procedure for double-degree educational programs  jointly with Beijing University of Language and Culture (BLCU)

To participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant of higher education at the expense of the republican budget and (or) enrollment in paid tuition for educational programs:

• 6B01711 – English and Chinese (B018 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• 6B02303 – Translation business: Chinese (B036 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• persons who have:

secondary, technical and vocational or post-secondary education,

UNT results are not lower:

• 55 points — Translation business: Chinese (B036 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• 75 points — for the direction "Pedagogical Sciences", English and Chinese (B018(KZ-CHN-185));

at the same time, according to:

• History of Kazakhstan and two core subjects — at least 5 points,
• reading and mathematical literacy — at least 3 points.

 When passing the UNT in electronic format, one of two results can be used to participate in the competition, provided that all score requirements are met.

Additional conditions:

• The HSK4 certificate is required.,
• or taking an additional Chinese language entrance exam at AIU University. (APPLICANTS WITH A NON-ZERO LEVEL OF CHINESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE ADDITIONAL EXAM) The exam results can be viewed the next day after passing the exam. Following the results of the additional exam, an official statement is issued to the applicant.

To participate in the grant competition — from June 20 to July 12 this year;

To enroll in a paid branch — from July 21 to August 20.

The application for participation in the additional exam is submitted in accordance with the established scores.
