Guest Lecture on "Social Engineering: Psychological Mechanisms of Manipulation and Protection from Influence" Held at Astana International University

On December 5, 2024, as part of the "Psychology Week," a guest lecture on the topic of "Social Engineering: Psychological Mechanisms of Manipulation and Protection from Influence" was held at the Higher School of Arts and Humanities of Astana International University.

The invited speaker was Nurar Zhumatov, a master’s degree holder and specialist in information security. During the lecture, he provided a detailed explanation of how social engineering methods are used to manipulate people's behavior, the psychological mechanisms behind such influences, and how to effectively protect oneself from them.

Special attention was given to modern examples of social engineering, including fraudulent schemes, phishing attacks, and other methods aimed at obtaining confidential information.
