As part of the academic mobility program, Professor
Emin Atasoy from Bursa Uludağ University (Turkey) visited AIU and delivered a
course on "Regional Studies" for 3rd-year students of the educational
program "6B01504 Geography."
The course aimed to expand students' knowledge of the
political, economic, cultural, and historical features of various countries.
Professor Atasoy's lectures contributed to developing students' geographical
outlook and enhancing their intercultural communication skills.
Particular attention in the lectures was given to the
similarities and differences between Turkey and Kazakhstan. Using concrete
examples, students combined theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
A distinctive feature of the course was its
interactive format. The professor actively engaged students in discussions and
fostered direct interaction. This approach helped students better understand
the material and gain valuable skills in analyzing cultural and geographical
features.
