AIU and UIBE: Signing ceremony of the agreement on the joint Kazakh-Chinese Institute of International Business and Economics! ✨

On October 21 this year, Astana International University (AIU) received a delegation from the Beijing University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). This visit was an important step towards strengthening the partnership between our universities and expanding international educational opportunities for students. 🌍🤝

The delegation included: Mr. Zhao Zhongxiu, Rector of UIBE; Mr. Li Xiaomeng, Head of the Department of International Cooperation; and Mr. Du Peiyuan, Deputy Dean of the Institute of International Education. They became participants in a rich program of events, including open lessons, meetings with AIU management and study tours of campuses. 📚✨

One of the highlights of the visit was an open lesson on the campus of the Higher School of Economics, where the delegation met with teachers and students to exchange experiences and ideas. The signing of the cooperation agreement between AIU and UIBE was a symbolic beginning of the "golden 30th anniversary" for bilateral relations. 

Our cooperation with UIBE has been going on for 5 years, and one of the key achievements is the launch of a double-degree program in Business Administration in 2020. In 2024, the first graduation of this program took place, and graduates received two diplomas. Currently, 110 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students are enrolled in the International Business Program. Also, four 4th year students of the International Trade and Economics OP are in China completing their studies at UIBE.

AIU President Irsaliev Serik Aztayevich noted: "Our Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev emphasizes that cooperation between Kazakhstan and China opens a new page in our history — the "golden 30th anniversary". I am pleased to announce that the signing of our memorandum of cooperation also symbolizes the beginning of three decades of strong friendship and fruitful cooperation between our universities." 🎉

The two-degree Bachelor's degree program in International Business combines the experience of Kazakhstan and China to prepare specialists with intercultural communication skills and high professional qualities. Our goal is to provide students with a solid foundation in economics and management, as well as competencies in international law and business, preparing them for a successful career in the global market. 🌐✨

This visit confirmed the mutual desire of AIU and UIBE to develop joint educational projects, such as the two-degree program in international business, and to open new horizons for students in the international arena. 

AIU continues to strengthen its position in the global educational space, offering students high-quality education and career prospects! 🚀🎓
