At Astana International University, sports are an integral part of not only
student life but also the work environment for staff members. On September 8th,
AIU’s Financial Director, Almas Tynyshbayevich Sultanov, successfully completed
the Half-Ironman triathlon during the Samarkand Challenge competition.
The competition consisted of three stages: a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km cycling
segment, and a 21.1 km run. Almas Tynyshbayevich completed all stages with
distinction, showcasing exceptional physical endurance and determination. His
participation highlights the university’s commitment to promoting a healthy
lifestyle and fostering a strong sporting spirit among staff.
This achievement serves as a great example for the AIU community,
demonstrating the important role of sports in achieving both personal and
professional success.
