Today in Astana International University (AIU) held a meeting with the deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Bashimov, a member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform of the Majilis of VIII convocation.
People's elected official told the AIU staff in detail about the innovations in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, were discussed the laws affecting gambling and ludomania, the fight against drugs, ensuring gender balance, child safety and health care.
In general, according to the deputy, during the past session of Parliament was adopted 125 new laws that improve the legal, social and institutional framework of our country.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of the educational and awareness-raising mission of AIU and the need for frequent exchange of views between the academic community and representatives of the legislative bodies of the country were emphasized.
