On March 3, the grand opening of the exhibition “Tekti Onerdin Shenberi” took place at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition presents original works and artifacts from the collection of the senior teacher of the Higher School of Art and Design, famous jeweler, restorer, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the UNESCO Quality Mark certificate Serzhan Bashirov.
In the works of Serzhan Muratovich, the origins of the traditions of Kazakh decorative art are comprehended in modern plastic language. The aesthetics of the author's style recreates ancient archaic symbols, the ideological meanings of which were intuitively felt by the artist and embodied in modern art design.
Continuing traditions, S. M. Bashirov became mentors for many modern masters, who are currently active participants in the artistic process in Kazakhstan and beyond. Their works are also presented in the exhibition. We especially note the participation of 4th year students studying in the specialty “Design” in the exhibition of the iconic museum of our country. Their creative journey is just beginning, and it’s a very good start to present their work together with one of the best contemporary artists.
