International creative symposium “ASTANA. ART. PLEINER”, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of ASTANA International University, took place on the initiative of the team of the Higher School of Arts and Design from June 7 to 9, 2023. The busy program of the symposium included not only creative and competitive events for students. A scientific program was organized for teaching staff invited to participate from various Kazakhstani and foreign universities.
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Novosibirsk Pedagogical University, member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, Honored Cultural Worker Oleg Vasilyevich Shalyapin read a course of lectures for teachers “Art education - state, trends and prospects, Russian and foreign experience” for 36 hours. The key topic of the lecture course is increasing the efficiency of the professional education process of a designer, the task of forming specific artistic and design thinking as a synthesis of stylistic, conceptual and compositional interactions. Each lecture meeting ended with a discussion of the participants about modern opportunities and problems of art education.
A practical continuation of the theoretical part of the scientific program of the symposium was a master class on plein air and composition, in which many teachers who came to ASTANA took an active part. ART. PLEINER" from Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakh creative universities.
