AIU took part in the international scientific and practical conference

On August 28-29, 2025, the capital hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Constitution and Statehood: Dialogue of Law and the Future", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The large-scale event was organized by the Constitutional Court and brought together more than 500 participants, including chairmen and judges of constitutional courts of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, members of Parliament, government agencies and the law enforcement system, as well as domestic and foreign legal scholars, experts and faculty of the Higher School of Law  of Astana International University.

 

President of Astana International University Serik Irsaliev took part in the conference and delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. In his speech, he noted the historical significance of the Constitution and its key role in building a sustainable legal state, and also emphasized the university's mission in training future lawyers and civil servants. He emphasized the importance of such scientific dialogue platforms in the modern world.

 

The session held at the Constitutional Court addressed issues of ensuring the stability of the constitutional order, preventing legal nihilism, the rule of law and mechanisms for protecting the Basic Law.

 

Other sessions discussed issues of digitalization of legislation, the role of constitutional control, the compliance of laws with the Constitution, social justice, interethnic harmony and strengthening social unity. International experts also presented reports on modern constitutionalism, the protection of citizens' rights and achievements in the field of administrative justice.

AIU Strengthens Cooperation with the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On August 26, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana International University (AIU). The document is aimed at developing partnership relations between the two organizations and provides for the implementation of joint educational and scientific initiatives. In particular, the parties agreed to cooperate in the field of training highly qualified specialists in the fields of public policy, law and international relations, as well as on the organization of professional practices and scientific internships for students. The parties also agreed to cooperate in the organization and holding of international scientific conferences and forums, cultural and social events.


President of AIU S.Irsaliyev expressed confidence that the signed memorandum will become a solid foundation for long-term and productive cooperation. He also noted that the main goal of cooperation is to promote the improvement of the quality of training of specialists who are able to effectively realize themselves in a professional environment.


Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Temirbolat expressed his readiness for new formats of cooperation and the implementation of large-scale projects. He expressed confidence that working together would allow reaching new heights and open the way to large-scale projects and opportunities.


The Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an institution focused on the study, popularization and preservation of the country's political history, the processes of statehood formation, as well as the activities of the Head of State. The Center plays an important role in shaping state ideology, strengthening historical memory and civic consciousness.


The main mission of the Center is the systematization, preservation and wide presentation of the history of the Institute of the Presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the Center's activities are aimed at strengthening Kazakhstani patriotism through the implementation of educational, research, cultural and educational projects.
