On August 30, 1995, the Basic Law of our Fatherland was adopted. It is a vivid reflection of the goals and aspirations of our entire nation. Guided by the principles of the Basic Law, we were able to raise Astana International University to the level of one of the best international higher education institutions in Kazakhstan!

On August 28-29, 2025, the capital hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Constitution and Statehood: Dialogue of Law and the Future", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The large-scale event was organized by the Constitutional Court and brought together more than 500 participants, including chairmen and judges of constitutional courts of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, members of Parliament, government agencies and the law enforcement system, as well as domestic and foreign legal scholars, experts and faculty of the Higher School of Law  of Astana International University.

President of Astana International University Serik Irsaliev took part in the conference and delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. In his speech, he noted the historical significance of the Constitution and its key role in building a sustainable legal state, and also emphasized the university's mission in training future lawyers and civil servants. He emphasized the importance of such scientific dialogue platforms in the modern world.

The session held at the Constitutional Court addressed issues of ensuring the stability of the constitutional order, preventing legal nihilism, the rule of law and mechanisms for protecting the Basic Law.

Other sessions discussed issues of digitalization of legislation, the role of constitutional control, the compliance of laws with the Constitution, social justice, interethnic harmony and strengthening social unity. International experts also presented reports on modern constitutionalism, the protection of citizens' rights and achievements in the field of administrative justice.

Astana International University held an international event on the topic "From declarations to action: practical implementation of the agreements of the second Central Asia-China summit". The event was dedicated to a comprehensive expert analysis of the results of the second Central Asia-China summit.

 The speakers at the event included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the diplomatic corps of China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as leading experts from such authoritative organizations as: Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KISS) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Institute of World Economy and Politics, Institute of Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tsinghua University (China), JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST and JSC QazInnovations

The conference participants discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of energy, transport logistics, education and science. The international forum opens the way to uniting the potential of the Central Asian states with the enormous opportunities of the PRC, which will allow us to take partnership and common interests to a new level.

August 28 - AIU President Serik Aztayevich Irsaliev met with the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Arman Dilanyan, during which issues of cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed.

Arman Eduardovich Dilanyan expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in the field of exchanging best practices and achievements in the legal sphere, as well as training legal personnel.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of further cooperation in the context of creating favorable conditions for the exchange of information and achievements in the legal and judicial systems of the two countries.

Today, Astana International University received a delegation from the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Belt and Road Initiative of Tsinghua University (China).

The parties discussed the possibility of creating a joint Artificial Intelligence Center, which will become a platform for conducting advanced scientific research, introducing innovative technologies, exchanging experience and training highly qualified specialists. An agreement was reached to intensify cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere, expand the range of scientific research and training highly qualified personnel. Particular attention was paid to the Middle Corridor project, which is of strategic importance for strengthening interregional connectivity and developing international logistics.

The visit was an important step towards forming strong ties between leading universities in Kazakhstan and China, which will contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation and the training of highly qualified specialists for the future.

On August 26, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana International University (AIU). The document is aimed at developing partnership relations between the two organizations and provides for the implementation of joint educational and scientific initiatives. In particular, the parties agreed to cooperate in the field of training highly qualified specialists in the fields of public policy, law and international relations, as well as on the organization of professional practices and scientific internships for students. The parties also agreed to cooperate in the organization and holding of international scientific conferences and forums, cultural and social events.

President of AIU S.Irsaliyev expressed confidence that the signed memorandum will become a solid foundation for long-term and productive cooperation. He also noted that the main goal of cooperation is to promote the improvement of the quality of training of specialists who are able to effectively realize themselves in a professional environment.

Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Temirbolat expressed his readiness for new formats of cooperation and the implementation of large-scale projects. He expressed confidence that working together would allow reaching new heights and open the way to large-scale projects and opportunities.

The Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an institution focused on the study, popularization and preservation of the country's political history, the processes of statehood formation, as well as the activities of the Head of State. The Center plays an important role in shaping state ideology, strengthening historical memory and civic consciousness.

The main mission of the Center is the systematization, preservation and wide presentation of the history of the Institute of the Presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the Center's activities are aimed at strengthening Kazakhstani patriotism through the implementation of educational, research, cultural and educational projects.

Astana International University, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University and SpaceLab signed a memorandum of cooperation on scientific and technical developments. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of the SpaceLab space program and the IoVIT project. As part of this initiative, AIU, together with CGTU, is considering the possibility of launching the first university picosatellite. This step is intended to give a new impetus to the development of domestic space technologies, strengthen the scientific and technical potential of the country and increase its competitiveness in the field of space research.

The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the following areas:

• integration of satellite technologies (KazSat, SpaceLab, etc.) into the national monitoring system;

• creation of pilot zones with installation of sensor equipment and testing of artificial intelligence models;

• Involvement of students and young scientists in research projects, organization of internships and opening of joint laboratories.

The agreement opens up new scientific and technical horizons for universities, but also creates conditions for involving Kazakhstani youth in world-class research, connecting education and the real sector of production.

 The parties agreed to implement a joint scientific and analytical project on the topic: "A comprehensive study of the impact of socio-economic factors on crime using artificial intelligence algorithms to predict and identify key determinants." The results of this study will help reveal the influence of socio-economic factors on the formation of criminal behavior and the potential of artificial intelligence to develop effective predictive analytics strategies in the law enforcement system.

The cooperation also provides for:

- participation of IT students in projects of the Criminal Threat Forecasting Center, - internships in government agencies, - joint work on the development of analytical solutions in the field of law and order.

The initiative aims to use the unique experience and scientific approach to strengthen the rule of law and public safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The strategic result of the cooperation is the creation of a new analytical school capable of developing crime forecasting models and early warning systems that will be in demand in the practical work of the police, prosecutor's office and other law enforcement agencies to implement the Concept of "Law and Order".
