On November 22nd , Astana International University (AIU), a meeting was held with the recently appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Pavol Shepelak. On behalf of AIU, the guest was greeted by the President - S. Irsaliyev, Vice President - K. Abdrakhmanov and Director of the Department of International Cooperation - Zhmaka S.

According to some data, today approximately several thousand students from Kazakhstan are studying in the Czech Republic. AIU, an actively developing university, seeks to strengthen its ties with Czech educational institutions through academic cooperation, including student/faculty exchanges and joint research.

During the first meeting, the parties discussed common topics and prospects for future cooperation. The Czech Republic, known for its attractiveness to Kazakh youth, will become an important partner for AIU in strengthening international ties and enriching the educational experience of students.

Ambassador Pavol Shepelak expressed his readiness to encourage active interaction, promising to also support the search for potential university partners from the Czech Republic. This step is aimed at creating a favorable climate for the exchange of knowledge and experience between educational institutions of the two countries.

The parties expressed confidence that such meetings will become an impetus for new educational and scientific initiatives that will contribute to the deepening of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Czech Republic.

Senior lecturer at the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering, Nazyrova Aizhan Esbolovna, has successfully completed a scientific internship at Lublin University of Technology in Poland. In the period from November 27 to December 3 of this year, she, together with Professor Magek Miłosz, PhD, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, conducted productive discussions and planning of further stages of her dissertation work.

During the internship, senior lecturer actively participated in the academic life of the university, exchanging experiences with colleagues and students. The specialization of Lublin University of Technology in the field of information technology and engineering has created an excellent platform for discussing current topics in this field.

The main areas covered during the internship included topics related to current trends in computer science, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and software development. Professor Magek Miłosz, who is a leading specialist in the field of computer science, made an important contribution to the discussion of further plans for the dissertation work of Professor Nazyrova.

      On November 17^th , Astana International University (AIU) hosted a meeting with the  representatives of the partner university from Korea (Wosoong University - WU). The Korean side was represented by: Kim Tae Han, Executive Director of the Wosoong Foundation, Dean Lee Taek, Executive Dean of International Schools and Professor Yong Hwa Jong.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of further prospects for cooperation. In the context of the rapid development of high technologies, digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI), the parties expressed common interest in joint projects in these areas. Considering the relevance of online education, the parties discussed ways to integrate new educational technologies into the educational process.

One of WU's key projects is the 2+2 format, offering students two years of online study at WU followed by the two years of study at a selected partner university. The partner universities are the universities from Latin America, Europe, Southeast and Central Asia. Foreign students will be able to choose offline study at a university from the above countries and get a double diploma. This approach allows students to gain maximum experience in an international environment.

Parties discussed a variety of joint programs including management and technology, tourism and hospitality, culinary arts and artificial intelligence. WU has its own technologies in the field of online education and aims to create educational hubs in the above regions. They choose the capital of Kazakhstan as an educational and scientific hub, offering our university to become the main partner in the region.

It should be noted that, that within the framework of the previously signed memorandum of cooperation between the two universities, AIU students are currently undergoing academic mobility in Korea from August 2023 to January 2024. This opens up new opportunities for students from both countries in the fields of education and cultural exchange.

Considering the long-term partnership between AIU and the French Embassy, Mr. Bortolan's visit is aimed at further strengthening cooperation in the field of education and culture.

One of the key topics during the meeting was the popularization of the French language in Kazakhstan. Over 250 AIU students chose French as a second language to study, indicating significant interest among young people in this language. The parties discussed strategies for promoting the French language among students and possible measures for further popularization.

The discussion also touched on current problematic issues and identified prospects for future cooperation. Representatives of the AIU and Mr. Bortolan expressed a common commitment to develop and expand programs and initiatives aimed at supporting French language education and cultural exchange between France and Kazakhstan.

This visit continues to strengthen the ties between AIU and the French educational community, contributing to the further development of international education and cultural exchange in the region.

AIU hosted a guest lecture by MNU professor Indira Akylbaeva on the topic of "Humanism in Pedagogy and the Pursuit of Knowledge." The lecturer covered the ideas of the great teacher Ybyrai Altynsarin, offering a profound reflection on his unique views on humanism in the education system. The speaker emphasized the importance of developing humanism in modern pedagogy, where the key value is a person with his own moral qualities—honesty, justice, an active social position, patriotism, and a desire for knowledge. Indira Muratovna shared her extensive research experience, inspiring everyone present to explore new paths in the field of education and youth upbringing. The lecture became a real source of motivation for the students, propelling them into active participation in the broader society. The initiators of this event were faculty members of the Pedagogical Institute: Aliyeva A.Ya., Kazhigaliyeva A.B., and Kaziyev A.B.

An exciting event called "Journey to the Literary World" was held at Astana International University under the guidance of Ph.D Professor of the Pedagogical Institute Kozhagulova G.K. The organisers of this literary journey were 4th year students of the OP "Russian Language and Literature" - Zuleikha Bekmurzina and Dilnaz Serikova. Students presented great poets and writers to the world in two languages, Russian and Kazakh. 

The complex beauty of the word F. Tyutcheva was perfectly revealed by Alina Krykbayeva, a 1st year student of "Russian Language and Literature", with the poem "What life wouldn't teach us". Students who embodied the theatrical world of "Strongstorms" on stage A. Ostrovsky - Aizere Shalkarkizy, Alexei Pachkovsky, Kirill Kosimov, Akbobek Sarsenbiyeva and Valeria Ovsyannikova, gave the audience a unique experience. Soul With. Yesenina, E. Yevtushenko and V. Vysotsky was felt on stage by 1st and 2nd year students - Gennakhunova Sabina, Ksenia Kravchenko, Sarsenbina Ayaulym and Kyzdarbekovna Almasia. 

1st year master's student in the specialty "Management" Abdirakhman Gulnur, within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation with the scientific research university Higher School of Economics (Moscow с.), was selected to participate in the international educational internship "Study Tour Experience" from November 13 to November 27, 2023.

In 2 weeks, Gulnur listened to useful and necessary lectures and received answers to her questions. The organizers introduced foreign students to the university and library, and held interesting lectures from leading university professors.

In addition to learning, the internship allowed to meet new friends and see the history and culture of another country. As Gulnur notes, our university creates good opportunities for students, the main thing is to use these opportunities on time!

The children were presented with a variety of subjects of images and drawings, the choice of which was made by the authors themselves. The guys worked in a creative, positive atmosphere, demonstrating a fairly good graphic culture. The master class provided an opportunity for children with special educational needs to learn new professional skills and gain experience in creative social communication, as well as, with the help of student mentors, to quickly write a finished drawing including their author’s vision and ideas.

We sincerely hope that our creative meeting will help children discover additional potential for the development of personal creativity and allow them to feel the magic of art.

The master class provided an opportunity for children with special educational needs to learn new professional skills and gain experience in creative social communication, as well as, with the help of student mentors, to quickly write a finished drawing including their author’s vision and ideas.

On 11/09/2023, as part of professional education, the team of the Higher School of Arts and Design of the Astana International University accepted an invitation on behalf of the exhibition company Business Media Central Asia (BMCA) and delegated 4th and 5th year students of the specialty “Architectural Design” with the leader T. Kiseleva. A. to the international exhibition Interlight Central Asia, organized at the EXPO IEC in Astana.

Interlight Central Asia is an event that is a key platform for demonstrating advanced solutions and technologies in the field of lighting, lighting design, electrical engineering and automation in the Central Asian region.

The children got acquainted with the expositions presented at the exhibition by well-known companies and took part, as listeners, in the events of the business program, which included seminars, round tables, lectures and master classes from experienced designers such as Sergey Sizy, Konstantin Tsepelev, Ksenia Lanikin, on current issues of design and operation of modern urban lighting, the use of decorative lighting in the design of houses and apartments.

This event is an excellent opportunity for students to enrich their knowledge, learn about the latest trends in lighting design and acquire practical skills.

11/16/2023, within the framework of professional education, namely the specialized discipline “Materials Science”, 3rd year students of the Higher School of Arts and Design of the Astana International University, specializing in “Architectural and Graphic Design” under the guidance of teachers from the school Fendt Yu.B. and Kiseleva T.A. visited the production workshops of Astanastroysteklo LLP, the largest Kazakh company specializing in the supply of glass and mirrors suitable for decorating building facades, creating interiors and non-residential premises.

Students became familiar with the range of glass used in the construction of modern buildings, the production technology of double-glazed windows for windows and stained-glass windows, and their optimal dimensions.

This meeting is an excellent opportunity for students to supplement lecture material with practical knowledge and learn about the latest trends in the use of glass in construction.

As part of a guest lecture for students of the Pedagogical Institute at Astana International University, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Doctor of pedagogical sciences Saira Nagashibayevna Zhienbaeva was invited.

The lecture is dedicated to topical issues in the development of preschool education. During the lecture, the features of working with preschool-age children, problems in preschool education, and digital socialization were discussed. Within the conversation, students received comprehensive answers to their questions, expressed gratitude to Professor Zhienbaeva S.N., and to the organizer of the guest lecture, Professor of AIU Zhumabayeva Z.E.
