AIU Representatives Participate in the Eurasian Young Scholars Training Program in China

Mira Zhorabekkyzy Kaldarova, PhD, Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering, and Bolat Zhanbekuly Baltabayev, Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of Economics, are representing Astana International University at the Eurasian Young Scholars Training Program entitled “Digitalization, Greening, Collaborative Transformation, and High-Quality Development,” held in China from September 15 to 23, 2026. The program is organized by the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The program brings together 41 young scholars from 11 Eurasian countries, including researchers, lecturers, and representatives of think tanks who share an interest in the digital economy and sustainable development.

The program combines lectures by leading Chinese scholars, interactive discussions, field studies, and the exchange of experience. Participants will visit Beijing before dividing into groups for field research in Hangzhou and Guiyang, where they will gain first-hand insight into the implementation of projects related to the digital economy, green development, and smart cities. The program’s main areas of focus have been developed within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Participation in the program enables representatives of Astana International University to learn from China’s practical experience in digital transformation and environmental governance, establish professional connections with colleagues from across the Eurasian region, and contribute to the development of international academic dialogue.
