Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in Poland, Poznan at the partner university Adam Mickiewicz University - AMU. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- High GPA.

- English language Certificate - IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (preferred), it is also possible to take an AIU-based language proficiency test.

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Poznań.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 21)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

- Stage 2 - The AIU Academic Mobility (AM) Commission selects applicants according to the criteria.

- Stage 3 - The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed Stage 2. Quota - 10 people.

- Stage 4 - Registration of students in the AMU system.

On November 9, 2022, a master class was held at the Higher School of Art and Design on the topic: “Using reproductions of paintings by great artists when studying the basics of design.

Purpose of the master class: Didactic tasks when using reproductions of paintings helps in the formation of ideas, the formation of general and individual concepts, the identification of patterns, the ability to compare, the ability to highlight.

Design without the use of clarity and entertainment and design with their use are two completely different things. As much as the first is difficult and boring for a student, the second is just as interesting and exciting.

The use of reproductions of paintings teaches students to think logically, develops artistic and imaginative thinking, aesthetic taste, and the ability to perceive and understand beauty.

11/17/2022 At the Higher School of Arts and Design, a creative meeting of 2-5 year students of the specialty “Architectural Design” and “Graphic Design” took place with the famous designer, founder of the Simple studio branding agency - Sergei Tyurin.

Time: 10:30-12:30 h.

Venue: room 605.

Sergei Mikhailovich spoke about the formation and recognition of himself as a designer, the possibility of making money from design, methods of working with clients were considered, how to correctly draw up your project, how to pack a portfolio, what modern requirements are for graphic design, the top mistakes of a young designer, as well as in practice Students' work was reviewed.

The meeting took place in a creative, positive atmosphere. The meeting provided an opportunity for students to learn new professional skills and gain experience in creative communication with a high-level specialist.

On October 27, 2022, a round table with representatives of universities of South Korea was held at the Astana International University, on the basis of the Higher School of Economics (Expo Building). Among the foreign delegation were Dean of International Schools of Woosong University – Mr. Yu Taek Lee, Dean of SolBridge International Business School - Mr. Joshua Park and Professor of SolBridge International Business School – Mr. Nurmakhammad Yusupov. Representatives of the WOOSONG Educational Foundation spoke about the education system in South Korea, about online learning opportunities, academic mobility of teachers and students, professional development and scientific conferences. Further ways of interaction have been defined within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation.

On November 2, 2022, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Higher School of Law of Astana International University Borchashvili Isidor Shamilovich made a generous gift for 2nd year students studying in the specialty "Law". 30 sets of 3-volume "Commentary to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" were donated by the author to students before the start of training sessions.

President of Astana International University Irsaliev Serik Aztayevich thanked Professor Borchashvili I.S. for such a valuable gift, the cost of which, by the way, is about 1.5 million tenge, and also expressed hope that this fundamental work will help students fully master the academic discipline "Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and become highly qualified specialists in the future.

The dean of the Higher School of Law of Astana International University, PhD Khairmukhanmedov N.I. also took part in the solemn transfer of the scientific work, who also thanked the author and congratulated the students on becoming the owners of one of the best and most relevant academic works in our country.

We express the hope that such actions on the gratuitous transfer of the authors of their scientific works to students will become a good tradition at the Astana International University.

October 28, 2022 design students together with teachers took part in the Nobel Festival in Astana, in the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The following performed at the festival:

- Martin Vezowski, chief futurist at SAP Corporation and many others. etc.

10.20.22. At the Higher School of Arts and Design, a meeting was held with one of the authors of the “family anthology” series of books, expert, psychologist Seilbek Myrzabay on the topic “Cultural Front”.

Specialists from the public foundation "Family Reader" exchanged views on topical issues of spiritual education of the younger generation. It is no secret that along with the street of time, the flow of information not only does not grow, but even as the development process progresses, spiritual values remain outside the boundaries. It is especially difficult to educate children who do not want to learn or develop, says famous psychologist Seilbek Myrzabay.

During the meeting, students heard answers to their questions. The meeting was impressive.

Master class on the theme “Autumn”

On October 21, a master class was held at the Higher School of Arts and Design, a collaboration with the Umit-Shygary club and the design art club on the theme: “Autumn.” The guys used various techniques and materials. As a result of the work, each participant completed an individual painting

On October 27, 2022, a solemn ceremony of awarding Doctor of Law, Professor of the Higher School of Law Amandykova Saule Koshkenovna took place in the building of Astana International University.

Professor Amandykova S.K. was awarded a medal dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Republican Notary Chamber and a badge "Notary salasyna koskan ulesi ush". The medal and badge were solemnly presented by the President of Astana International University Irsaliev Serik Aztayevich, noting that the expert activity of Professor S.K. Amandykova is an example of quality, integrity, responsibility and deservedly recognized by the legal community of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the same time, during the solemn event, the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Higher School of Law Borchashvili Isidor Shamilovich delivered a congratulatory speech.

The award ceremony was attended by University staff, the Dean of the Higher School of Law, the teaching staff of the Higher School of Law, doctoral students and undergraduates, each of whom congratulated the professor and expressed gratitude.

On October 27, 2022, within the framework of the academic mobility program, Vasily Alekseevich Desnitsky, a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Computer Security Problems of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences", gave a lecture on the topic "Information Security IOT" for students of the Higher School information technology and engineering. The lecture covered such issues as the concept of IoT (Internet of things), the stages of the emergence of cyber attacks between IoT, security measures and programs. The lecture was lively and interesting with the involvement of students in the discussion. Questions from the audience were answered. The information given during the lecture turned out to be very useful for the students of the EP "Computer Engineering and Software" and "Information Systems". The students expressed their gratitude to the lecturer for the opportunity to communicate directly with him.

On October 16, 2022, Astana International University, Pedagogical Institute, 3rd-year and 1st-year master's students of mathematics specialty met with 3 families to donate. The purpose of this charitable event was to provide social assistance to children of low-income, large families, disadvantaged families, orphans, children left without parental care, and other categories of children who have the right to receive social assistance. Two families have single mothers; one family has a single father; and each family has a special child. I mean, "a light burden lifted together". We all went to the houses of our heroes, who were united as children of the same family and became "father" instead of father, and "mother" instead of mother. We brought some food and household items to each family. "When you make a donation, you yourself see charity." Charity is one of the kindest qualities of our people. It must be remembered that caring for children, offering help, and having a good heart, is not only a noble deed, but also a civic duty of each of us, which is reflected in the phrase: "The soul is grateful to compassion." In this regard, we hope that such charitable events will become a good tradition in the future.
