A significant academic meeting was held at Astana
International University for first-year students majoring in History. A leading
research fellow from the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, renowned
archaeologist Talgat Bazarbayuly Mamyrov, delivered a lecture on "The
Stone Age of Kazakhstan."
During the lecture, students were presented with
unique information about the emergence of the first humans on the territory of
Kazakhstan, their way of life, tools, and areas of cultural distribution. The
lecturer highlighted the importance of Stone Age archaeological sites and
shared the latest research findings in this field.
This lecture provided students with fascinating
insights into ancient human history and familiarized them with current issues
in archaeology.
Students actively participated and asked questions
At the end of the lecture, students engaged with the archaeologist, asking
questions about the daily life of Stone Age people, their migration across
Kazakhstan, and the technologies used to craft stone tools. They received
comprehensive and detailed responses.
Such events contribute to deepening the knowledge of
future historians, fostering their interest in archaeological research, and
broadening their historical perspective.
