On February 19, 2026, the Department of Natural Sciences held a meeting of the
Academic Committee dedicated to the development and discussion of the educational
programs “5B01503 – Chemistry” and “7M01503 – Chemistry” for the 2026–2027
academic year.
During the meeting, the structure and content of the programs, expected learning
outcomes, the system of professional competencies, the relevance of curriculum
disciplines, and their logical continuity were comprehensively reviewed. Particular
attention was paid to aligning the programs with labor market requirements, modern
educational trends, and industry standards.
The meeting was attended by the faculty members of the department as well as
experienced school teachers from Astana:
Chemistry teacher of School-Lyceum No. 93, Gulmira Nurgazyevna Ospanova;
Chemistry teacher of School-Lyceum No. 56, Saule Dalelovna Elekenova;
Chemistry teacher of School-Gymnasium No. 78 named after Smagul
Saduakasuly, Gulzhazira Zhaiykovna Mukhamedieva;
Chemistry teacher of Economic Lyceum, Aigul Abdisamatovna Taukelova.
Stakeholders’, employers’, and leading experts’ recommendations were taken into
account, resulting in specific proposals for further improvement of the educational
programs.
Following the meeting, a decision was made to modernize the programs, update course
content in accordance with contemporary requirements — including the integration of
artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process — and approve them in
accordance with established procedures.
