On December 18, 2025, the Institute of Psychology and Education of Kazan Federal University hosted the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Nigmatov Readings. Humanistic Education: Traditions, Innovations, and Prospects.”
The
conference brought together Russian and international scholars, educators, and
education practitioners to discuss key issues of humanistic pedagogy, spiritual
and moral values, and the role of education in shaping personality in the
context of contemporary challenges.
As
part of the conference, an online presentation entitled
“Humanistic Ideas of Central Asian Enlighteners as an Axiological Resource of
Education” was delivered by Z.D. Baubekova, Professor and Doctor
of Pedagogical Sciences at Astana International University, together with
Saniya Suleimen, a 4th-year student. Their joint presentation symbolically
emphasized the importance of intergenerational dialogue and continuity in
education.
The
conference concluded with a reflection on the legacy of the prominent
enlightener Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, whose words became the ideological core of the
event: “The greatest wealth is education. The greatest legacy
is upbringing.”
These
words continue to serve as a moral guideline for the modern pedagogical
community and the education system as a whole.
