On November 20, students from the Higher School of Law at Astana International University participated in an open court hearing held at the Astana Specialized Criminal Court under the direction of Senior Lecturer Zh.D. Seilkhanov.
During the hearing, the criminal case against citizen "N" was heard, charged under Article 297, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan – "Illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues."
Attending the court hearing allowed the students to experience the workings of the judicial system and enhance their legal awareness.
