Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted that the opening of the BLCU (Beijing Language and Culture University) branch at Astana International University in 2024 was another visible embodiment of highly fruitful Kazakh-Chinese cooperation, contributing to the strengthening of humanitarian ties and the formation of intellectual bridges between the countries.
In turn, Duan Peng spoke about the prospects for implementing joint projects in the field of applied linguistics and digital learning, and also expressed his readiness for further cooperation with Astana International University in the framework of master's degree and research programs.
Also, during the meeting, issues of the development of artificial intelligence technologies, cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere, and the training of qualified linguists and sinologists were discussed.

The BLCU branch, which opened in July 2024, has already successfully graduated 85 graduates of the Foundation language course. Currently, it has 240 students who are future teachers and translators of the Chinese language.
In the future, it is planned to launch master's degree programs, which will expand academic opportunities and train highly qualified specialists.
