A regional workshop on data
visualization for Central Asian countries will be held at Astana International
University from October 8 to 10, 2025.
The workshop is being organized by the
Bureau in collaboration with the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia
and the Pacific (SIAP), the Statistics Division of the Economic and Social
Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Kazakhstan International
Development Agency (KazAID), and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination
Agency (TIKA). Under the AIU memorandum of cooperation with the Bureau, the
university is co-organizing this event.
The workshop program is aimed
at developing professional skills in statistical data visualization and
introducing modern analytical tools such as R, Tableau, Superset, and others.
Participants will master practical approaches to working with large data sets
and learn how to create clear and compelling visual forms, including
interactive dashboards. The seminar will serve as a platform for the exchange
of experiences and best practices among statistical specialists, researchers,
and academics from the region. Hosting such an event at AIU underscores the
university's growing role as an international educational and research platform
in Central Asia.
