Students of Astana International University took part in the intellectual program "Azamat".The latest episode of the
intellectual program "Azamat" on the Khabar TV channel discussed key
issues in the development of agriculture. The jury included Deputy of the
Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Kozhanazarov,
official representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of
Kazakhstan Olzhas Tilebaldin and founder of the "Qazaq Debate"
movement Yerbolat Mukhamedzhan.
Despite state support for the
agricultural sector, one of the leading sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan,
the participants in the discussion noted that there are still urgent tasks in
this area that need to be addressed.
Students of the Kazakh
National Pedagogical University named after Abay and Astana International
University emphasized the importance of food security, sustainability of the
country and development of agricultural infrastructure.
The team of Astana
International University focused on the problems of agricultural storage
infrastructure. According to their data, 60% of vegetable storage facilities in
Kazakhstan are not equipped with refrigeration units, and 30% have been used
for more than 20 years. As a result, 35-40% of the harvest is lost. As a
solution, the students proposed creating a system of cross-border and regional
storage facilities, implementing digitalization of logistics, including smart
logistics, automation based on blockchain and the use of online platforms.
