On August 28-29,
2025, the capital hosted the international scientific and practical conference
"Constitution and Statehood: Dialogue of Law and the Future",
dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of
Kazakhstan. The large-scale event was organized by the Constitutional Court and
brought together more than 500 participants, including chairmen and judges of
constitutional courts of foreign countries, representatives of international
organizations, members of Parliament, government agencies and the law
enforcement system, as well as domestic and foreign legal scholars, experts and
faculty of the Higher School of Law of Astana International
University.
President of
Astana International University Serik Irsaliev took part in the conference and
delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. In his speech, he noted
the historical significance of the Constitution and its key role in building a
sustainable legal state, and also emphasized the university's mission in
training future lawyers and civil servants. He emphasized the importance of
such scientific dialogue platforms in the modern world.
The session held
at the Constitutional Court addressed issues of ensuring the stability of the
constitutional order, preventing legal nihilism, the rule of law and mechanisms
for protecting the Basic Law.
Other sessions
discussed issues of digitalization of legislation, the role of constitutional
control, the compliance of laws with the Constitution, social justice,
interethnic harmony and strengthening social unity. International experts also
presented reports on modern constitutionalism, the protection of citizens'
rights and achievements in the field of administrative justice.
