A delegation from the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of China (CPC), headed by Ms. Cai Lixin, Deputy Head of the
Social Work Department of the CPC Central Committee (at the rank of Vice
Minister), visited the Astana branch of Beijing Language and Culture University
(BLCU), operating at the base of Astana International University (AIU). The
visit was also attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of
the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize
with the activities of the BLCU branch in Kazakhstan and to discuss prospects
for its further development. During the meeting, the parties emphasized the
successful implementation of the branch campus’s educational programs, the
steady growth of interest in the Chinese language, and the active development
of academic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The head of the Chinese delegation expressed
interest in strengthening stable connections between youth organizations of
Kazakhstan and China, involving young professionals in the international
volunteer movement, and improving the qualifications of specialists in the
field of social work.
AIU President Serik Irssaliyev supported the
initiative to expand youth exchanges between the two countries and expressed
readiness to provide comprehensive support for the university’s volunteer
organizations in participating in international projects, including cooperation
with Chinese partners.
This visit became an important step in
strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China in the
areas of education, culture, and youth initiatives.
