Creative Works by AIU Students Enter International Book of Records

On 28–29 October 2026, Astana hosted the creative project “Önermen Örilgen Qazaqstan”, aimed at promoting national arts and crafts. The large-scale initiative was entered into the Global Best of Records (GBR) international book of records and officially recognised with a special certificate.

The project involved third-year students from group UKHTiIZO-24A of the Art Education and Fine Arts programme at the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University. They presented 12 creative works made from natural sheep’s wool. The students’ works were supervised by lecturer Karlygash Kusyman.

The “Önermen Örilgen Qazaqstan” project aimed to promote the national cultural heritage, revive traditional crafts, and support young artisans. Participation provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience, develop a deeper appreciation of national art, and contribute to its promotion. The works created by AIU students became part of an international record-setting collection comprising 500 pieces.
