International Summer School for Youth from over 10 Countries Launched in Astana

Astana once again confirms its status as a global dialogue platform. The grand opening of the AIU 2026 International Summer School, themed "In the Heart of the Capital," took place in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The project, aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue and developing youth diplomacy, brought together university leaders, lecturers, and students from Kazakhstan, China, Vietnam, Russia, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Nepal, and several other nations. This large-scale initiative was organized by the Astana International University alongside the Kazakhstan-China Institute of Economics and Trade at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE, PRC), with active support from foreign partner universities.

The summer school program is scheduled for ten days and harmoniously combines educational and cultural tracks. The organizers have placed a strong emphasis on contemporary trends. Within the framework of the school, young people will attend lectures on artificial intelligence, digital development, and intercultural communication.

In parallel, participants will experience an immersive journey into Kazakh culture. Foreign guests will discover the historical heritage, national traditions, and lifestyle of the Kazakh people, as well as visit key cultural and historical landmarks of the capital. The program also features team-based creative projects, basic Kazakh language lessons, traditional cuisine tastings, and participation in national sports tournaments.

Participants and experts emphasize that such events carry a vital humanitarian mission. Representatives of foreign delegations noted that youth exchange is the most solid foundation for friendship between nations. Here, young men and women from different corners of the world do not just acquire new knowledge, but also find like-minded peers, breaking down cultural barriers.

In recent years, Kazakhstan has been rapidly strengthening its position as a key regional hub for international education and youth diplomacy. Its unique geographical location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, openness to cooperation, and hospitality make Astana an ideal venue for such global projects that foster peace and mutual understanding among nations.
