Academic Mobility and IELTS: New Opportunities for Future Teachers

On 20 October, Astana International University hosted a meeting dedicated to academic mobility and preparation for the IELTS international examination. The event was organised by fourth-year students of the Chemistry educational programme for first-year students preparing to become chemistry teachers.

The guest speaker was Dilnaz Dulatovna Zhakhina, a fourth-year student in the English and Russian Language Teacher Education programme, whose academic adviser is B. N. Zhanybekova. Dilnaz shared her experience of achieving an IELTS score of 7.5 and offered practical advice on preparing for the examination.

During the meeting, students learned about academic mobility opportunities and the importance of English language proficiency for studying abroad. Particular attention was given to independent IELTS preparation and motivation for language learning.

The event aimed to encourage first-year students to explore international educational opportunities, apply for academic mobility programmes and take the IELTS examination.

In recognition of her participation and contribution, Dilnaz Zhakhina received a certificate of appreciation from the Director of IDP IELTS.
