PARTNERSHIP FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: PRACTICE-BASED EDUCATION FOR FUTURE ECONOMISTS

As part of the Economics Educational Program Week, an informative visit to the Institute
of Economic Research was organized for students majoring in economics. During the visit,
arranged by Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor R.A. Erniyazov, students
gained valuable insights into contemporary areas of economic research, became familiar with the
practical aspects of analytical work, and observed how theoretical approaches are applied in real-
world practice. The opportunity to hear experts’ opinions and ask questions of interest generated
particular enthusiasm among the participants.
Such events directly demonstrate the importance of achieving Sustainable Development
Goal 8 – “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, contributing to the development of professional
competencies among future specialists. They also support Sustainable Development Goal 17 –
“Partnerships for the Goals” by strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and
research organizations. For students of Astana International University, these meetings play an
important role in helping them better understand their future profession, broaden their
perspectives, and motivate them toward further personal and professional development.
