Young Scholars Council


The legal status of the Council is determined by the Regulations on the Council of Young Scientists of Astana International University.

Main Goals of the Council of Young Scientists:
- Promote the professional development of young scientists;
- Unite their efforts in researching relevant scientific problems;
- Stimulate innovative activities at AIU.

Main Tasks of the Council of Young Scientists:
- Organize and conduct scientific events;
- Support scientific and innovative competitions and projects;
- Attract funding for the implementation of scientific initiatives of young scientists at AIU.

To achieve these goals, the Council of Young Scientists implements the following activities:
- Enhancing the professional growth of young scientists and combining their efforts to solve urgent scientific problems.
- Coordination, monitoring and analysis of scientific research of young scientists of Higher schools/The Pedagogical Institute within the framework of fulfilling the goals and objectives specified in the Regulations and the Council's work plan for the current academic year.
- Stimulating the publication of scientific articles in international journals with the provision of methodological and material support.
- Organization and holding of scientific events, including conferences, seminars, visiting schools, lecture cycles of leading scientists, exhibitions, forums and other events with the participation of young scientists. 
- Development of research activities of young scientists, including the development of scientific and innovative projects, interdisciplinary research and popularization of science among students, undergraduates and doctoral students.
- Creation and maintenance of databases of young scientists for the formation of a personnel reserve.
- Informing young scientists about grants, conferences, competitions and government support measures both in Kazakhstan and abroad. 
- Formation and expansion of a network of contacts with Councils of young scientists from other universities and scientific organizations, including foreign ones, for the exchange of experience, joint events and the implementation of scientific projects.
- Conducting seminars and events dedicated to the latest scientific achievements of domestic and foreign scientists.
- Attracting external scientific, educational and commercial funds to develop the Council's activities and open up new opportunities for young scientists at the University.
- Carrying out other types of activities that correspond to the set goals and do not contradict the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and these Regulations.

The members of the Council of Young Scientists include undergraduates, doctoral students and representatives of various departments, as well as young scientists from Higher Schools and the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University under the age of 40 who are actively engaged in scientific activities. The composition of the Council is approved by the First Vice-President of the AIU and the term of office of the Council is 1 year.
