Academic mobility

Academic mobility between Astana International University and Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan has been going on for more than the first academic period.

At the moment, students of our university have been sent for academic mobility for the spring semester, which lasts from February 26th to July 5th to the partner university Adam Mickiewicz University. 


Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in Poland, Poznan at the partner university Adam Mickiewicz University - AMU. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- High GPA.

- English language Certificate - IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (preferred), it is also possible to take an AIU-based language proficiency test.

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Poznań.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 24)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

- Stage 2 - The AIU Academic Mobility (AM) Commission selects applicants according to the criteria.

- Stage 3 - The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed Stage 2. Quota - 10 people.

- Stage 4 - Registration of students in the AMU system.


The first academic mobility of a student was conducted between Astana International University and SolBridge International School of Business University in the academic year 2023-2024.

A student of the Higher School of Social Sciences and Humanities of our University, Kogedai Ayim, was sent for academic mobility for the fall semester, which lasted from September 1st 2023 to January 5th 2024   to the partner university, SolBridge International School of Business University.


Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in South Korea, Daejeon at the partner university SolBridge International School of Business University. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- High GPA.

- Knowledge of Korean (A2-B2)

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Daejeon.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 24)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Academic mobility between Astana International University and Karabuk University has been going on for more than the first academic period.

At the moment, students of our university have been sent for academic mobility for the spring semester, which lasts from February 12th to June 15th to the partner university Karabuk University. 



Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in Turkey, Karabuk at the partner university Karabuk University - KU. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Karabuk.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 24)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

- Stage 2 - The AIU Academic Mobility (AM) Commission selects applicants according to the criteria.

- Stage 3 - The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed Stage 2. Quota - 10 people.

Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in Russian Federation, Moscow at the partner university National Research University “Higher school of Economics” - HSE. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

Participation criteria:

- The applicant must be an AIU student

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (with 4 years of study). Students of 2,3,4 courses (with 5 years of study).

- High GPA. Above 3.5 (three and a half) points on a 4 (four) point scale.

- Availability of a certificate of English language proficiency – IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (preferably) if the student chooses to study in English.

- Active citizenship of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects/conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides written parental consent to participate in the international AM in Moscow

AM period:

- Fall semester: September - December (applications are accepted until May 5)

- Spring semester: January - June (applications are accepted unti October 25)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring

- Stage 2 - The AIU Commission for Academic Mobility (AM) selects applicants according to the criteria

- Stage 3 – The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed stage 2.

- Stage 4 – Registration of students in the HSE system

Moscow-Astana tickets- 65,000 tenge

Participation criteria:

- The applicant must be an AIU student

- In the academic year 2024-2025, be a 2nd, 3rd year student (if 4 years of study)

- In the academic year 2024-2025, be a student of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year (if 5 years of study)

- The average GPA score is 3.5 (three and a half) and higher on a 4 (four) point scale

- IELTS must be level B2 or higher, the total score must be 5.5 (five and a half) or higher

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 24)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- In the academic year 2024-2025, be a 2nd, 3rd year student (if 4 years of study).

- In the academic year 2024-2025, be a 2nd, 3rd, 4th year student (if 5 years of study)

- The average GPA score is 3.5 (three and a half) and higher on a 4 (four) point scale.

- IELTS should be level B2 and above, the total score should be 5.5 (five and a half) and above)

TOMER must be level B1 or higher

The education is conducted in English and Turkish (in English, education is conducted in two specialties: 1.English language and literature; 2.International Relations. The rest of the specialties are taught in Turkish)

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 24)
