An informational and educational seminar was held at Astana International University as part of the patriotic campaign "My Flag – My Homeland."
The event was attended by specialists from the Heraldic Research Center, AIU faculty, and students.
Adilkhaïr Myrzakhanov, Head of the Department for the Examination of Departmental and Other Awards at the Heraldic Research Center, introduced the center's activities and highlighted the significance and importance of heraldry as a field.
Asylzhan Bizhanov, Head of the Heraldic Research Department, gave a presentation on "The History of State Symbols" and emphasized the importance of promoting national symbols as cultural values. Meanwhile, Sultan Orazaev, Chief Specialist of the Department for the Examination of Departmental and Other Awards, delivered a speech on "The Rules for Using State Symbols," providing a detailed explanation of the legal responsibilities associated with state symbols.
Additionally, the event featured an exhibition titled "Kazakh Heraldry: Ancient and Modern," as well as a display of world banknotes and numismatics from the personal collection of Aigul Yermekova, Chief Specialist of the Heraldic Research Department.
At the end of the event, an intellectual quiz game on the history of state symbols was held, and the most active students received commemorative gifts.
