At the beginning of the academic year, undergraduates and first- and second-year students of the Higher School of Art and Design have developed a tradition of activating their creative resources by jointly viewing art exhibitions in various cultural institutions of our capital.

An important step towards introducing first-year students to the capital’s artistic environment was acquaintance with the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the exhibition of contemporary Kazakh art. On September 2, the international exhibition “Tamyr” opened at the museum, in which artists from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan presented their work.

2nd year students got acquainted with the work of Elena Ralina, a member of the Eurasian Union of Designers and the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The artist, well known in Kazakhstan and beyond, named her anniversary personal exhibition “The Secret of the Secret.” The exhibition was held as part of the #More Than 30# project, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Second-year master's students, together with teachers, took part in the vernissage organized by the capital's Sal-Seri gallery. The author of the exhibition is architectural designer, member of the Eurasian Union of Designers, member of the youth association of the Union of Artists of Nur-Sultan Marina Sazonova. Marina’s debut exhibition demonstrated her extraordinary pictorial creativity and talent as an exhibitor, which is one of the facets of the designer’s professional qualities. Acquaintance with the work of Kazakh and foreign artists and designers in the exhibition spaces of the capital allows our students and undergraduates to deepen their aesthetic perception, which is a prerequisite for their professional success and demand in the future.
