On January 21, 2026, two
solar panels were connected and commissioned at the Physics Department of the
International University of Astana. The panels were provided on a gratuitous
basis by «UNIVERSAL ENERGY» LLP.
The implementation of this
initiative was made possible with the support of the company’s General
Director, Mr. Wu Xiaolyan, and has made a significant contribution to the
development of the university’s educational and research infrastructure. The
project reflects the strong social responsibility of the business and is aimed
at supporting the training of specialists in physics, energy, and
sustainable development.
This initiative fully aligns with
the key priorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s “Green Economy”
transition strategy, which focuses on the development of renewable energy
sources, reduction of negative environmental impact, and the formation of a
skilled workforce for the energy sector of the future.
The provided equipment will be used
in the educational process and scientific research by students and master’s
degree candidates of the Physics Department. The solar panels are integrated
into practical and laboratory sessions in disciplines related to renewable
energy sources, photovoltaic effects, environmentally friendly technologies,
and advanced energy systems.
The use of the solar panels will
enable students to:
- conduct measurements and
comprehensive analysis of the efficiency of converting solar radiation
into electrical energy;
- study the electrical and energy
characteristics of solar cells under various weather and temperature
conditions;
- explore the integration of
solar panels into autonomous and hybrid energy systems;
- develop and test experimental
models of energy installations based on solar energy;
- apply the acquired knowledge in
research projects, startup initiatives, and competitions focused on the
development of “green” technologies.
The commissioning of this equipment
significantly strengthens the material and technical base of the Physics
Department and expands the university’s capabilities in training highly
qualified specialists capable of addressing the urgent challenges facing
the scientific and energy sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The International University of
