On November 13, 2025, the theoretical round of the
Chemistry Olympiad for first- to third-year students of the 6B01503 – Chemistry
educational program was held at Astana International University in Building 1
(Laboratories 310 and 316).
The event was organized by the faculty of the
Chemistry major. Winners of international and national Olympiads, first-year
master's student Nurlan Kairov and second-year student Aslanbek Akramov,
participated in developing the competition materials. These young researchers
prepared 50 competition tasks covering key areas of chemical science.
The Olympiad aims to identify talented students,
foster interest in scientific research, and develop the practical skills of
future specialists.The total number of participants was 29 students: 20 from
the first year, 7 from the second year, and 2 from the third year. Today, the
results of the Olympiad were announced, and the following winners were
determined:
1st place: Bekbol Aqarai, Kadirgali Medet;
2nd place: Murat Aqsar, Makhanbet Dauletkerey,
Moldabaev Aidilzhan;
3rd place: Shaqytbay Zhadyra, Rakhmetulla Kamilya,
Esimkhan Dariya, Talisbay Dinara, Kayyrgali Bereket, Muradov Zhalgasbay.
We wish the newly formed team of chemists fruitful
work and success in the upcoming competitions, and may they raise the
achievements of our university to an even higher level!
To date, our winners have earned nine medals over the
past five years: three silver medals at national-level Olympiads (repeating
their individual and team placings three times) and two silver and four bronze
medals at international Olympiads!
