As part of the scientific project
funded by the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher
Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Project No. AP26100031 “International Mediation Hub as an Instrument
for Peaceful Conflict Resolution and Nuclear Disarmament: The Experience of
Kazakhstan and Foreign Countries”), members of the research group participated
online in the 14th EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Conference, held on
10–11 November 2025 in Brussels.
The following participants
attended the conference online:
Sholpan Saimova, Alibek Bolat,
Almzhan Irzhanov, Baktygul Chingayeva, Sultan Panov, and Nazym Ramazanova.
The event provided a unique
opportunity for Kazakhstani scholars to gain up-to-date insights and exchange
experiences with leading international experts in arms control,
non-proliferation, and nuclear disarmament. The format of open and substantive
dialogue enabled participants to share views on strengthening the global
security architecture. Particular attention was given to the implementation of
the EU Strategic Compass and to developing practical recommendations for
enhancing the effectiveness of global non-proliferation regimes.
Participation by the Kazakhstani
delegation provided access to relevant analytical materials and facilitated the
establishment of working contacts with European and international expert
institutions that influence the European Union’s policy in arms control and
peaceful conflict resolution.
The acquired materials and expert
insights will be used in preparing analytical reports, scientific publications
in international peer-reviewed journals, and practical recommendations,
contributing to the further strengthening of Kazakhstan’s academic and research
potential in the field of non-proliferation and international cooperation.
