Astana International University, D. Serikbayev East
Kazakhstan Technical University and SpaceLab signed a memorandum of cooperation
on scientific and technical developments. During the meeting, the parties
discussed the prospects of the SpaceLab space program and the IoVIT project. As
part of this initiative, AIU, together with CGTU, is considering the
possibility of launching the first university picosatellite. This step is
intended to give a new impetus to the development of domestic space
technologies, strengthen the scientific and technical potential of the country
and increase its competitiveness in the field of space research.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the
following areas:
• integration of satellite technologies (KazSat,
SpaceLab, etc.) into the national monitoring system;
• creation of pilot zones with installation of sensor
equipment and testing of artificial intelligence models;
• Involvement of students and young scientists in
research projects, organization of internships and opening of joint
laboratories.
The agreement opens up new scientific and technical
horizons for universities, but also creates conditions for involving
Kazakhstani youth in world-class research, connecting education and the real
sector of production.
