AIU students, as participants in the International Summer School, visited the port city of Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province (China). The Summer School program began at UIBE (Beijing City) and continued at Jiangsu Ocean University. Today, Lianyungang is a center of foreign trade and tourism on the Yellow Sea coast. The province produces and processes phosphates, quartz, and natural crystals.
The program was bright and eventful, including educational sessions, cultural events, and visits to enterprises. For two weeks, students studied the Chinese language, got acquainted with the culture, way of life and traditions of the Chinese people. The students enjoyed master classes on making fans, learning to row on dragon boats and competitions, visiting the International Logistics Park and Huagoshan Mountain with the kingdom of monkeys.
A visit to the China-Kazakhstan International Logistics Company in the city of Lianyungang was educational for students majoring in International Business. The students also visited a pharmaceutical company where scientific research is carried out.
All participants of the summer school, and these are students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Ghana, Egypt, became one big friendly team, jointly held a concert and a feast of treats, where each country presented its dishes and concert performances. At the end, all participants received certificates.
