Recently, Astana International University (AIU) hosted a meeting of the university's teaching staff with Dr. Bauyrzhan Bokaev, PhD, head of scientific projects at the Center for Research, Analysis and Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the lecturer spoke about his research at Syracuse University (USA) and presented his own vision of promoting the publication activity of Kazakhstani authors abroad. He elaborated on the methodology of evaluating scientific papers in the United States, the problem with the so-called “predatory journals” and gave a number of valuable recommendations.
One of the key topics was the importance and nuances of writing successful scientific articles for publication in international scientific journals with a high percentile. Professor Bokaev shared his knowledge and experience, which aroused great interest among all participants.
In general, the meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange views on key issues of improving education and science in Kazakhstan.
