The School of Natural Sciences together with the "Urbanitarium Astana Club 2023" held the closing of the urban studies club for teenagers aged 13-16. From July to November 2023, more than 100 Astana teenagers took part in a free educational program. The training was aimed at studying the environmental aspects of city life and urban development. The participants of the Urbanitarium Astana Club received theoretical and practical knowledge about the basics of urbanism and urban ecology from Kazakhstani experts and practitioners, visited field trips and explored the area of Lake Maly Taldykol. At the closing of the club, teenagers will present the results of their own urban research.

Urbanitarium Astana Club is implemented within the framework of the Tabiğat Labs project in partnership with Chevron and Urban Forum Kazakhstan. The project participants are Fading TSE, YEMAA artist residence, Main Botanical Garden, Impact Hub Almaty. Project partner: Astana International University, Qazaq Geography and Makerspace Astana.
