On the 2nd of November, the Olympiad among students «The Best translator - 2023» was held at the our Higher School. The most advanced students of 2-4 courses took part in the event.
The Olympiad consisted of two stages:
1. Written translation – translation of the seventh word of edification of Abay from Kazakh/Russian to English;
2. Synchronous translation — translation of Steve Jobs motivational video.
Qualified teachers of the specialty «Translation Studies» acted as judges in the jury. At the end of the event, students were awarded diplomas, gifts, and letters of gratitude.
