AIU Hosts Meeting with Writer Ularbek Daleiuly

Today, Astana International University hosted a meeting with writer Ularbek Daleiuly, recipient of the Order of Kurmet and the Tolegen Aibergenov Literary Award.

During the meeting, participants discussed «Jochi Khan», a work of historical fiction dedicated to the history of Kazakhstan. The author shared his thoughts on the content of the book, the distinctive features of portraying historical figures in literature, and the literary interpretation of historical facts.

Students asked the writer questions about the book’s central idea, its characters and the artistic portrayal of historical events. During the informal meeting, they shared their impressions of the book and expressed their own views.

An intellectual competition based on «Jochi Khan» was also organised as part of the event. Students tested their knowledge by answering questions about the content of the book and historical facts. The educational competition aimed to develop students’ historical literacy, literary analysis abilities and critical thinking skills.

The meeting increased students’ interest in history, literature and the legacy of historical figures. It also provided them with an opportunity to meet a renowned writer and discuss the content of a historical work directly with its author.

Such events enrich the spiritual world of the younger generation and encourage an interest in reading. They also help young people gain a deeper understanding of literary heritage and national values while fostering respect for them.
