AIU Discusses Information Security and Legal Responsibility

Today, Astana International University held a legalawareness session entitled “Information Security andResponsibility.” The speaker was Sultan Panov, Chief Specialist at the Institute of Parliamentarism under thePresidential Affairs Administration of the Republic ofKazakhstan.

The session addressed the procedures for collecting, processing, and protecting personal data, liability forthe unlawful dissemination of information, and ways toprevent online fraud. The participants also discussedlegal issues arising from the use of artificialintelligence and security requirements in the digitalenvironment.

The primary purpose of the meeting was to informparticipants about protecting personal data, identifyingsuspicious online resources and fraudulent activities, and complying with legal requirements when usingsocial media.

At the end of the session, students had anopportunity to ask the expert questions. Particularattention was paid to the importance of informationsecurity and fostering a responsible attitude amongyoung people towards the digital environment.
