AIU Students Participate in a Teleconference on “Law and Order”

Today, a teleconference was held between students of Astana International University and individuals serving sentences at Institution No. 64 of the Committee of the Penal System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event, entitled “Law and Order: The Legal Culture of Today’s Youth,” was organized jointly with representatives of the Astana Prosecutor’s Office, the Department of the Penal System for Astana, and the Astana Police Department.

The speakers included Beibit Abdikadyr, Prosecutor at the Astana Prosecutor’s Office; Nursultan Aitbekov, Chief Specialist of the Division for Educational Work with Convicted Persons at the Department of the Penal System for Astana; Zhandos Seitenov, Criminal Intelligence Officer at the Drug Crime Prevention Department of the Astana Police Department; and Mirzada Seitkali, Secretary of the Council on Drug-Related Offences under the Astana Police Department.

The teleconference aimed to improve young people’s legal literacy and foster a responsible attitude towards compliance with the law. The event also sought to explain the consequences of legal offences and raise awareness of how every action can affect a person’s life.

During the meeting, the speakers emphasized the importance of complying with legal requirements, protecting one’s rights, and taking responsibility for every action. Such open dialogue platforms encourage young people to approach their future responsibly and firmly uphold the principles of law and order in society.
