The history of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology dates back to September 22, 2025. Initially, it was established within the Pedagogical Institute, which brought together educational programs aimed at preparing future teachers in various fields of education.
A significant contribution to the establishment and development of the Department was made by the following scholars and educators: Zh.K. Akhmadiyeva, S.K. Kozhayeva, F.B. Nugmanova, Z.Ye. Zhumabayeva, S.A. Koshimbetova, Zh.K. Sagaliyeva, G.M. Kertayeva, G.D. Baubekova, K.Zh. Ibrayeva, K.O. Shaikheslyamova, A.A. Amanzholova, A.Ya. Aliyeva, A.A. Shayakhmetova, A. Tuksanbayev, N.A. Kulmysheva, A.Zh. Yedigenova, A.T. Dyusenbayeva, A.N. Daniyarova, and others.
A special role in the Department’s development belongs to a new generation of scholars holding PhD degrees, including N.A. Kudarova, G.U. Turarova, S.M. Abylaikhan, and A.I. Chokusheva.
Since September 22, 2025, the Head of the Department has been S.M. Abylaikhan, PhD, Senior Lecturer.
Currently, the Department provides training in seven bachelor's degree educational programs.
The Department's academic staff consists of 39 faculty members, including 4 Doctors of Pedagogical Sciences, 4 PhD holders, 14 Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, and 17 Senior Lecturers holding Master's degrees.
